Great story. When I saw the Town of Toronto mentioned I was shocked. I never heard of an engine like this in Toronto. But of course I was thinking of Toronto, Ontario, Canada! Nice little engine.
I remember when Fairymead was restored to service back in 1993. There is an old photo somewhere of a seven-year-old me on the footplate, and I have dreamed for almost 30 years now of one day getting to see her again.
Another great video. Aren’t we lucky that there are a few who restore these living pieces of history - it’s a living, breathing reminder of the past. Pure engineering!
This is the cutest Baldwin locomotive work steam locomotive I've ever seen it's so little what gauge is the railroad that that locomotive rides on I would really appreciate the reply thank you
I wonder if any diesel in existence today will still be around 134 years after it was built Somehow I doubt it Sream seems ro last longer I think all diesels should be converted to steam power 😂😂😂😊😊😊😅😅🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Steve, that's why I always have to say "North of Sydney" haha
Cute isn't often used to describe a machine but this might be an exception.
Yes, have to admit it's fairly unique in that way. Many have said the same.

I'm sure we can work something out when its finished, Martin.
Always awesome seeing Locomotives restored, she looks so bare without the cab and front light though.
The headlight and most of the cab are now back on.
Brilliant work! Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

Thankyou, Andrew.
WHEEL SPINS, 10:10,!!!!!!!!!! WOW!!!!! LITTLE LOCOS ARE AMAZING 👏 😍 💖 ❤ 💕!!!!!
I concur on both counts haha.
Mil gracias y bendiciones por ese trabajo hermoso.
Congratulations Graeme, and I suspect Jim and Morgan also.
Thanks, Graham.
Great Job
Wonderful! Great work!
Congratulations - fascinating video
Thankyou, Terry.
9:20 sounded like your whistle's bell was lowered too much towards the bowl
otherwise very nice work getting this loco going
It was, and also knocked a little askew during transport. Fixed now.
Fantastic - Paulo From Brazil!
Thank you for sharing
Happy to see it steaming again
Beautiful!
you guys would love the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway. 1/3 size, 13½ miles long. open to the public and i rode it to school every day.
Yes, love it. Spent a few days there in the early 1980s.
@@BelbinVideo wow I'm surprised how globally known it is! It hasn't changed since the 80's when they got two diesel powered engines.
RH&DR ran though the fields where I was a shepherd back in the mid seventies loved the engines and trains . Kept better time than BR!
I love these little Hawaiian plantation engines. I'm actually slowly working on one in 7.5in gauge.
Me too, although this one actually ran and lives in Australia.
Gradient of 1 in 16 very dangerous under wet rail conditions due to the loss of adhesion.
Do you have the blueprints of this engine? I’ve been looking for this engine for 30 years.
Only a general arrangement drawing which we did ourselves. You'd probably track one down of Ward Kimball's Chloe, same class but different drawing.
@@BelbinVideo thank you for your help and I love your videos
there are orthographic drawings of them I've found but no blueprints or build plans

igor, yes master , she's alive . yes master . eggscllent job. like
Hi
How do we get a special invitation for mandalong valley tramway
Hi James, I'm afraid it's only for family and friends of the loco/land owners. We can't risk the legalities involved, otherwise.
That is a beautiful locomotive! May I ask the specific gauge it is in? I'm very curios
Thankyou, I'm very fond of it, also. It is 2 foot (610mm) gauge.
Is that place in Australia
Where's your foot plate mate
Footplate and cab are still to be fitted.
Do you have more on this engine?
There are several more clips. Please check my channel or do a search for "Fairymead"
Great!
I wonder what gauge this is
Zachary, it is 2 foot (610mm) gauge.
@@BelbinVideo thank you

we did not see a hydrolic test carriied out .I cant believe experienced steam men would have taken this cause of action .
3.02 "hydrostatic test". For goodness sake, make sure you're right before you criticise.
Can't even spell it! 😂
