- The Jazz Model is an incredibly versatile humbucker that will work for almost any style of music. An Alnico 5 bar magnet and a special coil wind give the Jazz Model neck a glassy treble response and full, tight bass, while scooped mids help each note to sing clearly even under extreme high gain - or even more extreme speed. The Jazz Model bridge features its own unique coil wind to deliver a bridge tone with extra treble emphasis, a nice tight bottom, and a hushed midrange. The result is a clear, bright humbucker that will really make big chords shimmer, and make single notes sound crisp and sharp.

I have one in the neck on my Epiphone SG that absolutely sings! It also sounds amazing coil split!
The tones I get with this combined with the sh-6 on the bridge are absolutely awesome! I really like the sh-8 in the neck too, very aggressive but the sh-2 kills it with the versatility.
Hi, I'd like to get the same combinaison on my guitar : SH-2 on the neck and SH-6 on the bridge, you don't have too much difference in volume output between the 2 pickups ? I read that the sh-6 was powerful.
The only reason why this pickup doesn't sell as much as 59, alnico II pro, etc... is because of "Jazz" in the name...I have one since years and it is one my preferred Humbuckers ever!!! A truly inspiring articulate tone in every condition, clean, od, distorted! amazing!
I would like to hear it on bridge position too
Oh man, this is fantastic. Between this and that 59' video, it's a great way to compare the two. I hope you guys continue this sort of thing. Many thanks.
flips220 I have the SH-2n and I linda wish I had gotten the '59 the jazz is too bassy for my style, but it sounds amazing for those low harmonic solos. Hopefully I grow into them.
*laughs in sentient*
I have a Jazz Neck in my SG, it’s hairy as hell under some dirt, cleans beautifully tho I can’t speak to it regarding coil-splitting. However.. I just put a ‘59 Neck in my ESP (w/ coil split) paired with a distortion bridge (which I love) I have been stuck on the Neck-position for a week😂😂 the Jazz is killer and more gentle in my opinion. But the dynamics of the ‘59 Neck have been unheard by my ears before. ‘59 is a game changer bro..
Jazz is pretty much perfect neck pickup because it's not bassy, it works very well with coil-split mode and it with many bridge pickups. Jazz neck and 59 bridge is nice pickup combo for great cleans and rock.
Just ordered one of these with a Black Winter bridge pickup. Cant wait to put them in something.
I can't help but notice that they didn't play Jazz with their "Jazz" pickup.
99% of guitarists have no idea how to approach jazz. The closest you are likely to get is clean blues.
It works great with any genre of music. I use it for jazz and metal. Sounds amazing clean or with overdrive. Has great clarity. I use it with a JB, Distortion, Custom or Nazgul. And you're right about jazz. Most players don't know chords like they used to. You must know the chords to know how to solo over them.
@@angusorvid8840 in all essence of the jazz attitude you should check out some of polyphias music. They have aot of cool modern jazz elements in their guitar work
This is an amazing pup for cleans
@@joesmo8086 Is this satire?
I've had a Duncan Jazz in the neck position in my Yamaha SG2000 since about 1982. I think the pickup may have changed a little in the intervening years, but I've always liked it. I used to have a JB in the bridge, and I've had a few other pickups there over the years, but the Jazz has remained constant, and I have no plans to change it.
And metal. Compliments to the musician and company for the neck
Thx Alex!
great video, love the comparison at the end!
Seymour Duncan should be paying you a big salary because I am totally convinced I need these in my axe. Thanks for the multi-style comparisons. Ugly facin' that blues my man! LOL
what a great pickup! put mine in last weekend and couldn't be happier. ..thanks, Seymour Duncan!
+Dwayne Martin Very happy it worked out for you!
i have the hot rodded set and this thing is the perfect match for the sh-4 jb. it has a real fat tone when heavily distorted
guitaroidman524 Yes,I have also the hot rodded set in my SE Tremonti Custom, really versatile combo and if you install a coil-split function you can get some great clean tones as well.
looks like this neck pickup does it all
- thank you!
I have a JB in the neck of my Strat that’s very old. Talk about Vintage, aged to perfection. It literally sounds like a human, alive, and ambient.
Sounds great! Putting this in my Gibson Les Paul!
Got this , warm and cristal clear sound . To my opinion is awesome for metal arpeggios
Every coiple months I come back to this video and the '59 👍
i have this FANTASTIC humbucker since 1 year , thank for the job (now i love my guitar like my wife^^)
That rock part was just fire.
I've had one of these in my neck for 20 years (SH-2n), a fender jaguar neck pickup in the center and a steve's special in the bridge (high gain). It's just a crappy Squier Affinity series but it really sounds good.
Very nice "JAZZ SOUND". Funny announcement from Seymour Duncan
Super happy with the one I installed in my JP100D.
actually, the quick clean tone chords comparison at the end was very helpful... a similar quick distorted single lick (6-8 notes, one of them a bend, would suffice) comparison for multiple pickups (neck and bridge) would be even more helpful for me (and others I suspect)
+agarwaengrc Hey there! There is so many ways to make justice to pickup comparison, that it's hard to get them collected in a single video. SD i making more and more demos. I think you'll be able to get such a comparison as well :) All best!
i have changed all of my guitars to JB/JAZZ. All 8 of them. I love the sound of all of them. but, there are a couple that sound really special. I have considered going to SH-14 on one or two. we'll see!
jeffrey monroe Wow unbelievable, don't you prefer having different pickups for variety? I buy and sell all the time but in my typical 5-6 guitars I make sure to have a variety.
The Pearly gates sounds brightest to my ears. But I cant say one is better than the others
That is a beautiful sounding Mayones.
I want to hear the SH-2b, but cant find clips anywhere.
Just recently acquired one. Ill put it in my les paul and record myself noodling around on it
best demo
Great video, very good tone comparsion. More thanks.
Great playing!!
just recently paired one of these beauties with a nazgul bridge on a Jackson 7 string... awesome!!!. I know the sentient is the pickup chosen as the nazgul preferred combo but with some slight pickup height adjusting and this one growls...but with a lot more polished tone as well as a great sounding clean tone which imho is where jazz out performs sentient..thanks mr seymour duncan
+Terry Delport We are so happy you like this amazing pair!
I own one of these!!! They sound like the fattest best strat neck pups if you take off some gain and crank a tube screamer!
i have the sh2 in the neck and sh6 in the bridge on my jackson.great combination
mindblowerSKS Jackson’s sounds great with a Sh-2n. So consistent .
True...
Just got this combo for my prs!
A SH-2n Trembucker would be very nice!
fantastic pickup!
Excellent. Thank you.
Great demo! I'm planning to put a sh-2 on my prs se alongside a omega on the bridge :)
Good demo, thanks!
Great demo as always Darek! I would like to hear the SH-2b as well though.
We are always working on new demos, so check back soon!
Will do, it's pretty easy since I'm subscribed.

The last part of the video with the neck pickup comparisons clean and raw is exactly what I've needed to hear from these guys. It would be great to hear something like this with their bridge pickups. I don't play metal and I can only find a metal video of the sh-5 on this channel which sucks as I would like a side by side comparison with the other magnet combinations for the custom under raw conditions. Letting the amp and pickups character shine.
james worrall Good suggestion and it just so happens we have a shootout in the works for the Custom, Custom Custom and Custom 5. T
Me too,we need to know the real sound of the pickup.
These videos are awesome! I think I am going to change the stock pickups in my Carvin to the a Pegasus/Jazz combo. This video helped a lot, thanks!!!
Pegasus jazz??? well thats awesome
That would be a great combo!
PegaJazz combo works great! I was initially worried there may be a volume difference from them. But they actually sound very well balanced together.
I'm going to replace the pickups in my Carvin, as well. The guitar is too bright for my taste. It's almost a given that I'll go with Duncans. I have them in a couple of my other guitars, and they're great! Except the one with APS-1's, very noisy pickups! lol
Well, APS-1s are single coils, and they aren't inherently any noisier than any other single coils.
Its the player not the pickup
A good hand can get the tone right
Got a SH-2n in my dads over-seas SG, liars nicely with the Custom bridge, both nickel not that it matters. Though I’d be curious to hear it without the cover to compare. Either way, I’ve become increasingly addicted to PuP swaps ever since my soldering has improved. I need Mo’ of each and then some new ones as well. Best passives pups IMo
Just decided to buy it after watching this review... in my case it's for a 7 string prs se, hope they work as well as this 6 strings review. Thnx!
Some say a Jazz Neck installed in the " Bridge Position" is Duncans closed pickup to a T Top?.. Interested what opinions are , as if it'
s true , it will be be Duncans closest to a Jimmy Page Bridge Pickup for the Zeppelin years, bearing in mind the Duncan "Whole Lotta Humbucker" is NOT the Zeppelin sound.
I really like this tone! It really seems most suitable for Jazz, Blues, and Classic Rock. But as you've proven, it can be used other styles as well. Which control pots were installed (250K, 500K, or 1M)? Do you remember? Thanks!
Funny, but I find alnico II the best
Nice Mayones guitar. Anything would sound good on it.
Jazz on a Marshall?
I would love to see a proper Jazz demo for the SH-2 pickup, really. I'm searching for the right pickup to replace those of my Epiphone Emperor, but I CAN'T find any video of an SH-2 on a hollow body guitar on youtube... There are two or three videos of the Duncan 59 and Seth Lover, but no proper Jazz SH-2 videos... That would definitely be a cool and useful video...
I got this , the metal arpeggios capability is awesome, the sound is a perfect mix of warmness and cristal clearness , way better than the cold fender sound .
Hi, take the "jazz" model as just a model name for marketing, for me it doesn´t sound like a jazz pickup at all, it´s an alnico 5, for Jazz alnico 2 magnet is the key, It doesn´t have the sustain and warm sound of an alnico 2 pickup. That said any pickup can be used in a Jazz context rolling of the tone of your guitar or amp, BUT this is a low output pickuo for relative low gain Blues and rock pickup IMHO. It´s a great pickup. when I say any pickup can do jazz i mean It, some players play jazz with a Telecaster neck single coil pickup and tame it with the guitar tone control...so...take the jazz name with a grain of salt. Hope this helps
Hi I have recently fitted the seymour duncan Jazz Model SH-2n to the neck please can you tell me the right height or distance with the strings?
Does it do well for palm muting, fast rythm?....or is it only for leads?
I bought a Nazgûl for my bridge pickup and i'm curious about how SH2 would sound with it. I play nearly everything so Nazgul is for heavy tones and SH2 Jazz for cleans. Is this a good combo ?
Oh yeah! So is the Sentient in the neck, though the Jazz is cleaner and more open. Either one sounds great with gain or clean, and both are tight.
+Seymour Duncan Thanks for the help, i'm going with the SH-2 I think. Greetings from Turkey, your products are great!
so, here's the thing. i got gifted a mexico standard strat, and i don't use the bridge single coil at all on its own, so i'm gonna swap in a humbucker just to add some versatility and to play iron maiden authentically. the ones i have lying around are an sh5, sh2n, sh6, and sh10b. i figured sh6 is too hot, sh10 too, so i'm stuck between the sh5 and the sh2n. now, i don't know whether the sh2n will work in the bridge position. how different is it to the sh2b? i absolutely hated the sh2n in the neck position of my schecter and swapped it back to an sh10n, but i wonder whether it will work well as a bridge pickup for a more mellow guitar.
Que opinan sobre instalar un sd sh6 distortion en el puente y un sd sh2 jazz en el neck, en una prs les paul?
The more demos I look at the more unsure I am what neck pup i want.
I have a phat cat p90 in the bridge of maple modern player starcaster and want something to go good with it for the neck. I cant choose between the 59, jazz or pearly gates.
I have a SD seth lover humbucker in a tele neck and love it but want to try a different setup for the starcaster.
The 59, Jazz, or Pearly Gates would be a great choice for the neck. I am thinking more Pearly Gates, though. You still would retain more mids, and the output would balance better.
cool thanks, im mainly a fingerstyle funk/r&b player like to go for more of a nile rodgers, mark knofpler tone with very minimal dirt.
yea didnt know if the pearly gates was primarily for more hard rock/higher gains but if the output is going to compliment the p 90 ill read more into it. thanks
The Pearly Gates was designed more like a traditional PAF with expanded high end. To my ears, the Jazz is cleaner and brighter.
Anyone think this would match well with a black winter? I have a cobain jaguar and want to switch out the dimarzios. I want the warm clarity of the jazz but the obvious darkness of the bw
Do they make this pickup with Alnico II magnets as well?
This pickup sounds fantastic. Hey SD, if I wanted to get a full set of your pickups for a HSH Strat, which ones would you recommend? I play jazz, fusion, classic rock, and some ambient stuff. I love nice warm guitar tone.
please someone tell me what is the bridge pickup here .?
Were the rhythms in the metal part also made with these jazz pickups?
I was thinking of pairing this with a Duncan Distortion on the bridge for a cleaner, less output combo in an Ibanez RG 321MH (mahogany body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard). Any input? Anyone ever tried something like that?
How would this pair with a Phat Cat in the bridge? I play clean with a lot of reverb (think Interpol's Daniel Kessler)
este microfono lo puedo utilizar en el brazo de la Guitarra (neck) .. ???
Hi SD, I'm planning to install it to my Tele in the neck position...would the 250K pots works?
Sh2n, Sh4 combo in LP IS {Thee} combo.
No es demasiada salida para el neck?? Tengo un 59 y lo siento demasiado agudo nose si pasarme al alnico 2 o al jazz
Your tone is really good. In fact, IMO its about as close to EC's Woman Tone as one could get without being Eric Clapton. What did you do to get that sound? Are you using the Seymour Duncan 805 Overdrive?
+Daryl Winn Hey Deryl! I do not use any additional stomp boxes in this demo. All you hear is a tone of the amps with guitar plugged straight into it. Of course aside form little fx and eq added in post processing to better match different type of rehearsal gear. Anyway...the basis is the guitar and amp. All best!
Not woman tone at all..
It's good.. but not woman tone..
I use jazz on the neck and dimebucker on bridge is that ok ?
I am replacing the pickups on one of my Ibanez guitars that has an HSH pickup configuration. I've decided to go with the SH-4 in the bridge and the SH-2 in the neck. What single-coil pickup would you recommend that would sound most compatible with these 2 SH pickups?
BTW, awesome demo, it helped me decide to get the SH-2!
If you want a quiet guitar (no hum) and you want some quack like a Strat might have, I recommend a Vintage Rails. If you want something louder to keep up with the power of the JB and Jazz, check out the Quarter Pound Flat.
Thanks for the recommendations. Since I have an HSS Strat that sounds great, I'll choose the Quarter Pound Flat for my Ibanez since it seems like it will be a better match for the SH-2 & SH-4. Thanks for the advice!
Would «Cool Rails» fit for a quiet set as well as the vintage one?
wow these sound amazing. are they any good for splitting?
+Janosh Sullivan I use the Jazz split in one of my main guitars. It isn't very high output, but is a great way to clean up the sound without using the volume knob.
Great demo as always!. I have a question, for vintage sound which one should i buy between SH2n or 59n? Thanks.
Hey there! Actually I would choose Peraly Gates instead of both of those you mentioned. The reason is Pearly Gates has rather a high mids boost then a treble boost of sh2 or quite flat (mids to highs) response of 59.
I see, ok thanks.
I have an Ibanez AS 153. I don't like the stock pickups. I like the the Jazz and '59 pickups but what would be a good match for the bridge pickup?
What kind of music do you play, and what don't you like about the stock pickups?
Hi, I just bought cheapo LTD SN-200FR (basswood body, maple neck and rosewood fing.)and changing pickups. Would you recommend JB tremb. and jazz for hard rock,blues/metal or something else? Thanks
That set is a wonderful one for what you want. That's the reason it is used so much it does many things so well.
I have one in my ESP E-II Horizon, together with an SH-14. Very nice :-)
Is it arm position?
Jazz or the Alnico II in the neck to couple with a Custom in the bridge on a Les Paul?
+rizzo92 I like the Jazz, as it is clear and open, and brighter than the Alnico II Pro. Both pickups share the same wind and differ with only the magnet used. So just changing the magnet turns a Jazz into an Alnico II Pro.
thanks for the info!
I have a fender american deluxe hss strat and I want to put in the hot rodded set but now I'm wondering what would be better for the neck, the jazz or 59? Thoughts?
+adam anderson The 59 has more bass, while the Jazz has more treble. The mids on both pickups are much lower, and about the same. The output of both are about the same as well.
I need help, I have a PRS SE 24. And I want to upgrade.
I mainly play clean gospel.
I like those Marshall clean sound on the edge of break up.
Which Seymour Duncan pickup should I buy? I am playing for the Lord. So I want to buy the cleanest and the best. The guitar has coil splitting? What should go in the neck, and what should go in the bridge?
Ric Mel you probably want something with a more vintage or medium output, the jazz set would probably work really well! Maybe look at the vintage blues set, and Saturday night special. Any pickup sets from Seymour Duncan should come with a diagram in different wiring options including coil split
@@dkaniewski5862 Thank you I appreciate the reply.
Is it fit for generic lp guitars?
I wonder why Jazz and Sh1 always sounds warm eventhough im playing an ibanez basswood with even a neck maple and fingerboard. Why is this? Oh, SH6 sounds dark as well when distorted, while it's glassy bright while clean. Amazing.
+Cahyo Amiseso That's really tricky thing...Your specs suggest a typical, bright neck tone. If you get a bright tone on the clean channel, I would definitely search for the cause of "darkness" in your amp or external distortion device
+Darek Wawrzyniak I got it, it was the basswood body. I tried as well to compensate the SH6 on clean, turn bass up and lowering treble. Thus, wobbly SH2 on neck. SH2 and SH6 in Ibanez does not benefit my ears and how I need them to be sadly
+Cahyo Amiseso SH-2 is one of the brightest pickups I know (excluding those with stainless steel rails). If it sounds to dark, then in my case it's always about something else in the chain. What is your current setup? Amp, fx?
+Darek Wawrzyniak Ibanez RG, Roland Cube (5150 emulation), 11/12/1 o clock for B/M/T. that is all
+Cahyo Amiseso because the woods make no appreciable difference in the sound of an electric guitar. btw, I'm an sh6 (bridge) and sh2 (neck guy) keep rockin man.
I'm contemplating using a Jazz with a Jason Becker Perpetual Burn in the bridge, but I'm torn between this and the '59.
Any advice? It's be going into an ESP LTD MH-400.
+Nic Wilson I like the Jazz & PB combo in your ESP LTD. It will sound tight and great clean or with gain!
That's all the encouragment and justification I need! Thanks guys!
So Im looking to install these on my guitar, I'm running s Mxr super badass distortion pedal. Could someone give me a video/ sample of this set up?
The greatest side is the metal arpeggios capability
between SH-1 and SH-2 which would you choose?
what are the main differences?
+Alessio Turturiello thanks for the answer,
for an LP style guitar with mahogany body and rosewood fretboard, both of them are suitable for neck, right?
are there any other options?
+Thanasis Choul I always love how SH-2 sounds in Les Paul's. "Jazz" brightness + natural warmth of LP guitars creates perfect balance for my taste. I feel like SH-2 takes away some of natural LP "boomy" frequencies and adds attack (visible affect on dynamics response of your amp). But...for me personally SH-1 could be a batter match if I was more "warm cleans" or "true jazz" player. SH-1 does not have that much "extra bite" and I like how it acts while playing fingerpicking or very soft picking for some mellow type of leads :)
+Darek Wawrzyniak +Alessio Turturiello
Thanks guys for your comments!
Question: how come all 59 pickups I see don't have the "seymour duncan" writing on the bobbins, whilst mine does?
That guitar looks like a twin to mine, except i have the floyd rose model. Mayones sure do sexy sunburst flame tops!!
Any pickup can be ordered with or without a logo. The 59 generally doesn't come with a logo, but some guitars that come with a 59 stock (OEM) have them.
Cool :) Well it is alike with the JB in the bridge now ^^ And it sounds killer. (split tones are sweet as well)
What if I install this to a Squier strat? I heard it's okay to mix pickup brands as long as the sound characteristic match, but it doesn't matter if I don't mix the neck and mid right? Thanks.
Doesn't matter. You can mix and match brands all you want.
Verencia Mulya Putri The only problems you can run into mixing brands is the color wires they use, you wire them the same color to color you might end up with out of phase, parallel, etc so be watch out!
do you think a jazz bridge would match nicely with a phat cat neck in a semi hollow?
Depends on the the sound you are after. It will blend well, but the Jazz bridge is a pretty open, clean, clear pickup. If you are after warmer sounds, there might be other choices as well.
+Seymour Duncan can it emulate the more open sound of a wide range humbucker? does it stay tight with mild overdrive?
Well, nothing quite sounds like a WRHB, I can understand the comparison. The Jazz remains tight at any gain level. This is why it is popular with a lot of metal players.
will this be a nice match with my invader bridge;
+Filareti Piperopoulou The Invader and Jazz combo is a very popular, so yes. They are very different sounding pickups so you may have to play with the pickup heights to get them to balance the way you'd like.
What is the recommended height?
what would this pickup pair well in an HSH combo (ibanez mahogany guitar, rosewood fretboard, maple neck)? I want the cleans in the neck for warm mellow bluesy stuff, a nice straty sound from the single and and a crisp metal sound for facemelting lead solos in the bridge. Also would this or the 59' be better? I really want the best bluesy sound for my neck pickup. Any suggestions are welcome.
Im sure you've already had a reply but I would suggest the
black winter bridge and a 59 or pearly gates neck.
I'm not big on single coils so Im not sure.
is this a good pickup for a lespaul?
LP players love the Jazz...it is clean, clear, and sounds wonderful clean or with all levels of gain.
+Seymour Duncan thank you sir. im planning to get two sh2n. can i use the neck pock up on the bridge does the sound still ok if the sh2n will be installed on the bridge?
We make a specially designed SH-2b for the bridge. But I have heard people using the neck pickup in the bridge with no problems.
+Seymour Duncan oh ok sir. i might get a sh2b then for bridge if that is designed for bridge. thanks alot for your help. God bless
how would you say the full shred sounds in comparison to the emg 81, brighter, bassier, thicker, thinner thanks
I mean vintage jazz sound. Thanks.
I would look at the 59n. But for jazz, you should consider the Seth Lovers or Antiquities.
***** Thank you 59n sound so awesome!.
Really?? The damn thing is called "Jazz". Could you not have given us a few bars of, you know, Jazz?? Great sounds from this pup. Very versatile. But would it have killed you to roll off the treble and given us a few Jazz licks?
After watching the video of this and the '59, I'm absolutely torn. I want to put either a jb/jazz or jb/'59 in my Tele Deluxe. I want it to be able to handle a good amount of distortion while also retaining some clarity. Any help?
My vote is for the Jazz if you are talking about 'a good amount of distortion'.
Thanks. Also, I know 250k is recommended for the JB, but would you recommend 500k instead for the Jazz?
500k works well for the Jazz.
How would these be pairing them with an aph-1b
+TheShawnee22 They are similar in output, but the Jazz is a little more open sounding. I think it might be a good balance, actually, especially if you need clarity in the neck, and want singing dynamics in the bridge.
Why do so many appear to like the Jazz so much? It is too trebly, too much highs, too penetrant to the ears. The 59 and the Alnico2Pro sound much rounder and warmer.
hi seymour duncan. i wanna sold by duncan pickups but im undecided. i have an ibanez rg570 basswood guitar. what im looking for blues to metal. what should i buy? please help me thx.
You may check out the Jazz for the neck, a JB for the bridge, and a Classic Strat Stack for the middle. It can cover a lot of ground, and sounds good with all levels of gain.
i want play agressive music for example death, black metal but same time play eric clapton, srv. jb would be convenient?
The JB will work...you may also check out the Pegasus as well. It is better for heavier styles, but can do many things well.
oh no :/ no stock pegasus trembucker. could you suggest another alternative?
Then, the JB, and even the Black Winter will do it. If you want less output than that, look at the Custom and 59/Custom Hybrid.
How does this compare to the wlh neck?
I am confused. Do you mean the bridge? Or am I misunderstanding?
Seymour Duncan No I meant how does this compare to the WLH neck. I have a Black Winter/WLH combo in one of my SGs and I really love that combo. But I'm setting up my other SG and I want a different combination. I was just wondering how this neck would be different than a WLH neck. Thanks.
Oh! Got it! The Jazz is tighter, with a more scooped sound. The WLH is slightly hotter, and has some mids there.
I decided to choose SH4 JB as bridge pickup and have been considering match-up neck between Jazz and '59. My guitar is Yamaha Studio Lord SL600s, a Les paul copy, as I want the tone to be brighter and also thick, would you please tell me what will be my best choice ?
Btw, my guitar's body is thick, heavy weight and as I feel, it has much sustain.. I play most of Classic/Bluse Rock (AC/DC, GNR, Aerosmith) and some Modern Alternative...
+Dinh Do Well, bright and thick are 2 different ends of the spectrum, but the Jazz or 59 have highs and lows without so much mids for an open airy sound. I think you would like either of them.
why all is just solo demo? wheres the riff?
I need a good neck pickup to pair with an alternative 8 (sh15). I play mostly rock and metal and I use my neck pickup mostly for cleans, so I'm looking for something that plays as close as possible to an acoustic guitar, if that makes any sense... That it sounds good for solos would be a bonus. I hesitate between the PGn, 59 and Jazz. Any thoughts?
+sleepwalker2112 The Jazz is the way to go with an Alternative 8.
Thanks!
