so Loki, Cap'n Marvel, Sulley, Frozone, Wreck It Ralph, the guy from Straight Outta Compton go on a vacation... only to find out the island they're on is home to a certain eighth wonder of the world
I live in and have traveled Australia. I have so many Spider stories. And snake stories. Technically 2 Croc stories. Oh and unpleasant encounters with a goanna, a koala, an emu (actually emus on a few different occasions) a Kangaroo and a troop of kangaroos. Possums... In Victoria outside of Wodonga there are some of the biggest possums I've ever seen. Like werepossums. Like imagine a possum mated with a dropbear and that baby fell into a vat of radioactive stuff.. or something. They were pissed off all the time. I'd say living city/suburban life is less - angry animal invasive - But 1 snake story and 2 spider stories happened in Brisbane..So... Edit to add the point I was getting to. I have never heard of the spider Calvin was describing. Not saying it doesn't exist. I have friends up north who's dog was killed by a spider (little Chihuahua type dog.) So, I guess. Just think maybe he is thinking of a spider from a different part of the world.
Yeah, there's some big bugs out there. You also have things like the coconut crab, a terrestrial kind of crab about five NOPEs long. That's about the height of a trash can. Also, if you guys ever get around making a monster movie it'd better be The Attack Of The 300' Pistol Shimp.
Great reaction guys! The amount of videos you have given us today is amazing. You guys work so hard and I thank you for it . Btw I would totally be down for a King Kong V Godzilla movie. That would be the greatest death battle ever! Also is this Kong motion captured like the 2005 Kong?
***** They are upsizing King Kong in this new movie specifically for that. They are pretty much doubling his size besides it's happened before so why not again?
Louie Kite From other franchises I meant. If they are going to merge Godzilla and King Kong it wouldn't really make sense to have standard Godzilla monsters as the big bad. But imagine; Cthulhu awakens from his slumber and the world is in deep shit. But do not despair! Because Godzilla and Kong will team up to fight him! Insane, but pretty cool. =D
As others have pointed out this movie definitely takes place during the late 60s early 70s you can tell by the helmets and the fatigues the soldiers are wearing. Vietnam era army gear for sure, plus Huey helicopters haven't been in service for sometime it's all Blackhawks now.
im not sure if michael, jason, and freddy will be a part of it. im not familiar with all of the monsters that Universal has.. but im sure that the start of their universe is Dracula Untold
Victor Martinez new movies is on there way and they said it is going to be in the same universe so they can do crossovers if they want to and gets money of it
I'm australian and I can confirm that spiders do drag infants under couches. But the good thing about the spiders is that they can sometimes ward off dropbears. 😆
As awesome as all the DC and Marvel stuff was, this trailer was the most pleasant surprise for me. I wasn't expecting for it to look this good and intense.
This was really jaw dropping for you Calvin, haha. Yes Eric, if there were bigger insects and animals we couldn't survive even a day. Probably youtube and this shit wouldn't even exist ;)
legendary's godzilla is about 400ft tall, in this movie kong is about 100 maybe, but if monsters grow with age in this universe, he could get bigger. and by 2020 when kong v godzilla comes out they'd be more of a match
In prehistoric times, there was a surplus in oxygen, so insects for example, had to grow to huge sizes just to not be poisoned by the oxygen. The trees and foliage were also much larger then, so some herbivores had to be larger to eat it, thus some predators also had to be larger. There was also more radiation, due to the fact that the original isotopes in the planet hadn’t decayed yet, greater solar activity created more cosmic radiation, and the atmosphere of the time did not filter out as much UV radiation from space. This resulted in a prehistoric radiation level of six-to-seven times as intense as we experience today.
For Godzilla Vs Kong I'm wondering if they're gonna give him electricity powers again. I'm guessing it's actually gonna be us and Kong vs Godzilla cuz they said he's 100 ft which is still less than a 3rd as big as the new Godzilla (he was like 365 ft) so alone he's screwed, even if they give him lightning powers again. I secretly hope he has storm powers again cuz that would be some crazy, apocalyptic stuff, giant Raiden ape and even more giant nuclear dragon.
Funny enough this is the same cinematographer from zack synder's films which is why almost every shot looks a possible poster for the movie itself and it looks like it doesn't have the slow-mo speed up
I've heard that in 2019 that there is going to be a Godzilla 2 and in 2020 this Kong and that Godzilla will battle. It's their plan but I don't know if it will change in the future.
Y'all should look at the height numbers. The new Godzilla is 120 METERS FUCKING TALL. I honestly think that a Kong that was only 50-60 meters tall would be perfect. Big enough he wouldn't get pissed on by the other kaiju in this universe, but small enough that he would be the most agile one. He would be able to do some cool attacks like leaping around and hanging off of the other monsters when punching them. That being said, this new Godzilla is also a physical power house and one connected hit would probably pulverize the giant ape.
A huey helicopter is 40 feet from tip to tip. Kong's hand swats a helicopter and his hand is about the size of the helicopter. This Kong is MUCH bigger than 100 feet tall.
They are only doing this movie so they can re introduce Kong in his actual size so they can make a Godzilla vs King Kong movie. It makes sense and I hope Kong: Skull Island is going to be good.
Now you see why likely Sam was a bit Busy too be in Civil War. Really Fury is suited best for Avengers Character as Fury. Love the cast especially since Brie Larson is captain marvel. Marvel actors all over this movie.
Loki, Captain Marvel, and Nick Fury got transported to another Universe to deal with Grodd.
lol hahahahahhahahahhahaha good one
wrong universe
TheGamingDragon1"transported to another universe" I think you are mistaken ;D
Marvel X DC Crossover! hehehehe
Loki's way for redemption?
I think the most clever shot in the trailer was the one with the dragonfly and the helicopters.
yea that took me a second and a remake. That was cool.
rewatch*
I KNOW RIGHT!!!! but no reactor has acknowledged that?
+Black Gambit maybe to show that the humans are like bugs to Konh
I posted that exact comment and got like 100 likes.
The movie takes place during Vietnam, so Sam Jackson is fighting a Viet-KONG?
Genius.
Wow, good job.
after or before vietnam
During. The movie's said to take place in the 1970's. Just before the war ended.
Ok
"KONG: SKULL ISLAND" takes place in the 1970's.....Not Present Day!
That means kong has got some growing to do
thats what i think that kong is young here but will be bigger and older in King kong vs godzilla.
+James Goad so maybe he will be at least 250 feet or possibly just in the 200 range idk tbh but he's FUCKING HUGE
+Morgan Sten godzilla is 355 foot tall, and wiegh up to 90,000 tons, and can lift and throw 100,000 tons.
He's just a juvenile!
Nick Fury, Loki, and Captain Marvel decided to go on vacation while Tony Stark and Steve Rogers have there little war.
and scarlet witch and quicksilver will also take a vacation when godzilla fights kong..oh wait quicksilver died
We also got they guys from Straight Outta Compton too
so Loki, Cap'n Marvel, Sulley, Frozone, Wreck It Ralph, the guy from Straight Outta Compton go on a vacation... only to find out the island they're on is home to a certain eighth wonder of the world
Hahaha loved how you put Appa as another dinosaur.
Just sitting on my couch in Australia thinking about spiders now
Same

O.O
I've been under my couch since I was dragged under here by spiders when I was an infant. Kinda cozy in here.
+iStalkMyEx ~ wi-fi spiders? . . .
It's set in the 70s. He still has some growing to do
This movie is also build up to a King Kong vs Godzilla rematch!
Fight of the friggin century!
Exactly
You know what epic monster we need to join the fray? THE MANTIS SHRIMP!
That size? The world wouldn't stand a chance.
BEHOLD! The mighty power of the Mantis Shrimp XD!
That would be EPIC!
Haha!
splits earth in half

King Kong Vs Godzilla already been announced last year I think and set for 2020.
Looking forward to that death battle!
***** They are upsizing King Kong in this new movie specifically for that. They are pretty much doubling his size besides it's happened before so why not again?
They multiplied his size A LOT MORE than double. Legendary Godzilla is around 400 feet tall.
King Kong in most movies was about 40-50 feet tall. Jackson made his small for some reason and this one will be 100 feet so abut double.
The girl in this movie is Brie Larson and she's the new Captain Marvel
I loved all the trailers came out of Comic-Con but this was the most surprising and personally the best!
takes place in the 70s
I think i first heard about the shared universe and that theyre making this movie was either late 2014 or early 2015 so im def gonna see this
This was for me one of the best comic-con trailers.. I can't wait to see this.
They really should pit Kong vs. Godzilla in a separate movie. I'd totally see that. I think they're building up to a monster universe, hopefully.
They are....
and its gonna totally fuckin' rock.
What other giant movie monsters are there?
Kraken?
Cthulhu?
Merecir Like Mothra, Ghidora and that, i think.
Louie Kite
From other franchises I meant.
If they are going to merge Godzilla and King Kong it wouldn't really make sense to have standard Godzilla monsters as the big bad.

Merecir That would be cool.
I don't know why, but I got a real Apocalypse Now vibe at times when watching this trailer.
Shit... Now that you mention it... Absolutely. I think it'd the film style and the color palette mostly and also the jungle aspect, too.
+George Daugherty Definitely
it's based during Vietnam
+The Sky Crusader ~ so's apocalypse now . . . wait a minute
Guys you know that Toho is releasing a new Godzilla movie called Godzilla Resurgence. The second trailer just came out a few days ago as well.
As others have pointed out this movie definitely takes place during the late 60s early 70s you can tell by the helmets and the fatigues the soldiers are wearing. Vietnam era army gear for sure, plus Huey helicopters haven't been in service for sometime it's all Blackhawks now.
What a cast! I knew it had an impressive group, but that really surprised me. UCU is looking VERY interesting.
Lmao the bug talk was so funny u guys are awesome
From the look of the equipment on the soldiers and the cameras carried by the civvies it seems to be set in the 1960's
They are going to make a universe with horror movies too. With Michael Myers, Jason and Freddy
has it been confirmed
hell nah tf he talking about
im not sure if michael, jason, and freddy will be a part of it.
im not familiar with all of the monsters that Universal has.. but im sure that the start of their universe is Dracula Untold
Mark Cape damn that's dank af
Victor Martinez new movies is on there way and they said it is going to be in the same universe so they can do crossovers if they want to and gets money of it
I'm australian and I can confirm that spiders do drag infants under couches. But the good thing about the spiders is that they can sometimes ward off dropbears. 😆
I'm super hyped for this movie but what I really can't wait for is Kong vs Godzilla
I can't wait for this! As well as GODZILLA 2 & KONG VS GODZILLA
loved the goodman clover joke
I think that spider could be Kumonga a villian of Godzilla's but its proably not.
Dang it! I was scrolling the comments to check if anyone else made that assumption before me! Would be nice to know if it actually is it though.
Marnoko ikr?
+Rogelio Rocha Rodan could also appear since he's a dinosaur.
then that means Skull Island and monster island could be one and the same. just a possibility.
Rogelio Rocha Yeah i know that, but like a cameo or something.
The original idea and rumor was a collaboration with Godzilla and Pacific Rim, which OMG would be pretty badass.
Absolutely love the music
As awesome as all the DC and Marvel stuff was, this trailer was the most pleasant surprise for me. I wasn't expecting for it to look this good and intense.
Javier Bardem is Frankenstein monster. Russell Crowe is Dr. Jekyll. What an age we live in!!
This was really jaw dropping for you Calvin, haha. Yes Eric, if there were bigger insects and animals we couldn't survive even a day. Probably youtube and this shit wouldn't even exist ;)
That tubeworm scene is why I never watched that movie again. I could never get that out of my head. - Shudder -
Should be called 'Harambe resurrection'
I cannot wait for this movie to come out.
those blaring horns are still terrifying to this day
From my understanding and looking at the weapons the soldiers or marines are carrying it takes place sometime during or right after the Vietnam War.
That music sets it off
I'm pretty sure there making a King Kong vs Godzilla movie which is why he's so big now.
Kong:Skull Island is one step closer for Godzilla Vs Kong in 2020
This King Kong is going to be about the size of the newest Godzilla because there is a Kong vs Godzilla movie planned in the future
legendary's godzilla is about 400ft tall, in this movie kong is about 100 maybe, but if monsters grow with age in this universe, he could get bigger. and by 2020 when kong v godzilla comes out they'd be more of a match
Calling it now!..This is a set up to a Godzilla Vs Kong!
This is essentially a setup for Godzilla vs Kong.
King kong originally was size of a house but now he would be the size of the empire state building
In prehistoric times, there was a surplus in oxygen, so insects for example, had to grow to huge sizes just to not be poisoned by the oxygen. Would humans be able to evolve during that time? If they could, what would we be like?
yeah some bones have been found of humasn being at like 10 to 15 feet from the early times
8:02 Damn Calvin why'd you have to tell me that haha
It was not Jack Black who got eaten by that green thing. It was the guy who did voice to Gollum.
Looks like King Kong vs Godzilla may get a remake at this rate.
I swear I see you everywhere lol
Chris urrecha I get around.
Now Godzilla Vs King Kong redo seems more like a legit fight!
I've heard that in 2019 that there is going to be a Godzilla 2 and in 2020 this Kong and that Godzilla will battle. It's their plan but I don't know if it will change in the future.
The Based god Larry Fong is the Cinematographer for this. He's a genius.
what up blind wave!
This movie takes place in the 70s.
So John Goodman did find a way out of the bunker and it teleported him to this world.
yep that was a joke for clover
I'm seeing a Monster Island vibe coming.
This whole monster universe kinda reminds me of that old arcade game, where you can be a giant Gorilla, Lizard or Wolf and fuck shit up.
It takes place in the 60s if u look at the soldiers uniforms
trailer was awesome
Kong vs Godzilla=Epic!!
They need to make a monster movie with a gigantic mantis shrimp.
Y'all should look at the height numbers. The new Godzilla is 120 METERS FUCKING TALL. I honestly think that a Kong that was only 50-60 meters tall would be perfect. Boto
1:18 well guess what...
Fun fact guys this all leading up to king kong vs Godzilla!
A huey helicopter is 40 feet from tip to tip. Kong's hand swats a helicopter and his hand is about the size of the helicopter. This Kong is MUCH bigger than 100 feet tall.
Na it's just the inconsistency of the size in the monster movies
Drinking game" How many times the blind wave crew say the "s word" ;)
You guys should check out some fan groups. I learned about the movie from a Tom Hiddleston fan group on Facebook
don't forget the legendary big G
My mind is telling me they're trying to make a new Kong vs Godzilla.
I LOOOOVVEEE John Goodman!
Captain Marvel, Nick Fury, and Loki in the same movie plus a giant ape. They have my money!
Tom looks like the Uncarthed 4 charecter.
I mean Unharted 4
I mean Uncharted 4
You mean Uncharted 3
He means 4 probably
They are only doing this movie so they can re introduce Kong in his actual size so they can make a Godzilla vs King Kong movie. It makes sense and I hope Kong: Skull Island is going to be good.
Future: It was
Will there be dinosaurs or other creatures on the island besides King Kong like the old movie ?
That ould be super cool;)
~: ) could would and should . . .
kong is sizing up with godzilla 2016, and he is bigger than 2016
kong vs godzilla movie 2018 or 2019, they fight then they team up to fight something greater. read about it.
The movie is based in the 70's btw
The worm is called a "Carnictis"
What are your guy's thoughts on Godzilla 2014 and the future films in Godzilla series like the sequel to 2014 coming out in 2019
This Kong is the one there using to the king kong vs Godzilla movie
I knew there was a new movie
Godzilla and King Kong have already fought before so yeah, they're just going the extra mile for this one
They would love Eight Legged Freaks
I love you
Ithink its the orgins of the kong from the original kong from godzilla vs king kong.
If they want to do a shot of Kong climbing a building like the last one, the only building I can thing of is burj khalifa
The main girl in this (Brie Larsen) is also an Oscar winner.
LMAO SHANE DOING AN AARON IMPERSONATION
you found my next movie. he's big like that cus I wanted Kong vs godzilla. make ur bets.
Was that a spider at 2:27?
Now you see why likely Sam was a bit Busy too be in Civil War. Really Fury is suited best for Avengers Character as Fury. Love the cast especially since Brie Larson is captain marvel. Marvel actors all over this movie.
eric they found a spider the size of a shit su in the amazon
even when he's that big godzilla could still just step on him
HYPE!!!!!!!!!
Google camel spiders. You're welcome.
Looks great
