- We return to Thorpe Park during Easter 2019 to check out the many different changes at the park since our previous visit on the first day of the season. Along with sharing off ride footage from all of our favourite rides at the park we also check out Game FX, an event that's running until the end of May in the events arena. We also ride Tidal Wave for the first time this year and much more!

Thorpe needs a couple single rider queues
Samurai has got a single rider queue. Just go into the fast track queue and say you’re a single rider when they go to scan the fast track!

Love Thorpe Park if they introduced a new B&M hyper i think it would make it on par with Alton
Being a Welsh lad my local theme park is Oakwood and therefore I am used to waiting 1hr to even 2hr max for rides like mega phobia and speed! And I am really impressed with Thorpe parks operations and I think Oakwood need to take notes😂

I just love the first bit as you go down on swarm it's such a great coaster. As for the games tent I do feel the same as you if your out for a day to enjoy fun and fresh air not be indoors playing games you may as well stay at home pointless . I loved the vlog really enjoyed it. I love thorpe park . you and Alex are so much fun together.

Stealth has a fantastic launch!
I sadly haven't had the opportunity to ride many accelerators so can't compare it to much, but bloody hell that launch is amazing. Powerful, smooth, consistent... everything you want from a launch. Personally Stealth is my favourite ride at the park and possibly my favourite coaster period. It may be quite small but every part of it's short length feels absolutely perfect.

Darren Brown ride for the first time and every ride was walk on or max 5 minutes. 7 goes on swarm!!
After riding Wicker Man, I'd love to see a full scale GCI like Troy or Wodan. Something that has a 1.2 height restriction as well because the only coaster there now that people under 1.4 can go on is Flying Fish.
An airtime monster would be the best ride they could install at Thorpe park. What about a launch wooden coaster with tons of airtime packed into it

Yesterday I was in the car park just arrived to Thorpe park and Saw stealth and got really scared because it’s gigantic I got on it and it’s over before it even starts lol I was mostly scared off it not making it to the top and rolling back 😬 my fav ride though was probably the swarm, vortex and saw the ride i Iove how saw drops u in pitch black at the beginning

The queues were crazy when I went on 17/04/19... so looking to forward to seeing them here
edit: that ride access pass queue right at start of vid looks much quieter. Unlike when we queued a hour just there 🙄

I think that they will replace loggers with a wooden coaster just like Alton replaced the flume with wikerman. I think it will be a good addition to the park

The advertised ride times are very off. I've been twice this year and an advertised 15 minutes wait on detonator was 75 minutes.
And also flying fish was 10 minutes, became 45 minutes
That's very busy for those rides! Hopefully they can get these more accurate in the future
@@ThemeParkWorldwide yeah, to be clear, I'm no thorpe park hater. I have 2 season passes. But the operations there are really random. Opening day, brilliant. The next Wednesday, 7 operatives on flying fish. 6 days later, 1 operative. They need to get it sorted there, as it's so random and frustrating.
As for cleanliness in the park, if you compare your Blackpool pleasure beach experiences with (random example) the inside of the loading station of Nemesis inferno, or the rooves of the outer buildings, thorpe park is lacking that attention to detail, cutting corners that is helping to fuel the social media sites with the general feelings that Thorpe park is just grabbing money while investment goes down.
Slammer, loggers leap, quantum all SBNO, the station platform for the old farm train ride is still partially visible in the queue line for spinning tugboat ride.. it's all a bit sloppy.
We want it to improve. Maybe needs a management shake up
I thought the big earring was going to be a joke being in the Colossus queue line... "before boarding, please secure all lose belongings and REMOVE LARGE EARRINGS"

To be honest, I love gaming, but putting in a theme park is just not for me. It is something for the kids, but you pay for the rides not for the gaming. Love ur vids btw!👍

Great Vlog. I agree with your views on the Game FX thing. Maybe it's ok when it's raining but it's strange to go down the adding video games route. Even if it is temporary. Same as arcade machines and VR etc. To me these are a complete waste of time and space when you are visiting a theme park. Other people do them better outside of theme parks I reckon. Not surprised to see it empty. When I went to Nintendo's Switch presentation in London it was so busy I could hardly play a game.

Was there yesterday, only issue I have is not much prior warning about seat sizing for larger people!
I was once on Derren Brown's Ghost Train and the ride broke down whilst we were in the first section (where the train comes and you need to run out of the way). We were there for 40 minutes, stuck inside. Lol. Talk about a let down! And my first time ever on it... my headset worked but there was no audio! Totally ruined it and my second run was fine but I wasn't scared at all.
I will be down for opening day of bouncezilla!! Hopefully I will see you down there the same day

Did I seriously miss you guys by a one day? I went on the Wednesday. No queues which is always nice, I got multiple rides on everything and we even had our choice of seats on most rides. Also yes to the B&M hyper. That would complete the parks line up beautifully.

Colossus was on two trains on the Wednesday. I think me an my friend waited around 5 minutes each time we went on it. The longest wait we had was on Darren Browns (my first time, was not worth it). The head set didn’t fit on either part of the ride (two different sets) one half of the headphones didn’t work and the screen kept cutting out. The shop, as you say, was the best bit. Was there on the Tuesday and would say that operations were great but were somehow better on the Wednesday lol.

That park reminds me of a park named Djurs Sommerland,at Denmark.this park is 90 miles from Bakken but it’s still a great park.
This park have a good theming,not Disney levels but still good.
The attractions here are amazing,like Colorado river(log flume) or a great spinning rides(they will get a giant discovery in 2019)
You can get here 7 coaster credits too(the most at Denmark):
Dragekongen(or Dragon King in English)-this is an Intamin suspended family coaster build in 2017 and it’s they’re first model by them(currently existing 2),It’s a great ride,it’s give you great forces for a suspended family coaster and it’s great layout packs a punch.
Jungle Rally-this coaster was build last year by Zeirer and it’s their force zero modal,it’s just a fun coaster for kids and nothing special.
Juvelen(or Jewel in English)-this is their Intamin family launch coaster build in 2013 and also the longest coaster in Denmark,and that’s neat.
Man,this is a great family coaster,the forces are amazing in these and great and the first half is nothing special to me,the second half is great and much forceful.(but that’s my experience.)
Piraten(or Pirate in English)-this is the highest coaster in Denmark and this Intamin Mega Lite was build in 2008,and it’s AMAZING!
It’s an airtime machine with a lot of packed in to that small layout and length of that coaster.
It’s right now one of my all time favorite coaster and I believe it will be yours too.
Skatteøen(or Treasure Island in English)-this is their famous Mack water coaster which have been cloned 2 times more and this was originally opened in 2011.this is a great water coaster with a great layout and a fun splashdown and it’s pretty good looking too.
Thor’s hammer-this is their oldest coaster(not the first,the first was build in 2000 and was an SBF visa wacky worm),and was build in 2002 by Gerstlauer,this is a Bobsled coaster and it’s a pretty fun Gerstaluer.the airtime is solid on this and it’s just provides a fun ride.this is also the 3rd coaster they’ve ever made.
Vilde Hønsejagt(or Wild Chicken Hunt I’m English)-this is the park’s Zeirer force two coaster build in 2015,and it’s just another fun family credit.
The park is great but they also have some cons:
-They’re some big turns especially in August.
-they’re food prices are ridiculous but the food is not great.
-sometimes things don’t work.
But that’s still an enjoyable park and i hoping you will come back to Denmark ones again.

By the way what coasters in the UK (or maybe even France) do you guys recommend? I'm almost 13 and have never been on a coaster with an inversion before so I was just wondering what coasters would be a good first inversion experience
If you are starting on inversions I would definitely recommend Galactica at Alton towers. I am 14 and when I was your age I was too afraid to go on vampire at chessington. Now I have done red force in Spain.

Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe Park was my first coaster with an inversion and it was perfect. I'd recommend starting there.

I reckon theyre planning on turning the angry birds 4d building into a hotel. Really hope they get a new coaster soon though its long overdue
A hotel is rumoured to be outside the park entrance like the hotel's at Towers
As much as I'd like to see a B&M Hyper at Thorpe, I doubt it'd happen because it would basically make Stealth irrelevant to the GP. I think an RMC is possible but unlikely, a GCI would probably make the most sense unless they go for a Mack Launch or something like that.
I feel like Thorpe Park needs more medium coasters, like ones like Dragon's fury or vampire at Chessington, cause we aren't going there as it is too daunting and we won't go on any of the rides and there would be no point going

B&M Hyper on the scale of Mako (so it won't dwarf Stealth) would be perfect for Thorpe as they have no ride with airtime. Btw, that shot of Stealth from the gardens was beautiful

I prefer Alton Towers however Thorpe is well worth a trip especially if you've not visited much!
Elliot Simpson I think if you’ve been to Alton towers already definitely go to Thorpe. It’s my local theme park and I go there all the time and I LOVE it!! I would definitely try Thorpe and make sure to ride all the big coasters like swarm and stealth!!

I suggested that Thorpe Park should get an RMC but people seemed to think it would be too expensive. It's interesting to hear Shawn's take, Merlin doesn't think RMC have an established reputation yet. If that's the case it sounds kind of like a lame excuse though especially after Steel Vengeance, Wildfire, and Untamed we're built. But then again it's Merlin.
I see Thorpe park getting another b&m or gci and if they get a gci they will get something like wicker man or colossos
And if they get a b&m I want to see a hyper but more likely of them getting a dive or flying coaster

Imagine if Merlin installed one of the new Style GCI’s announced at IAPPA, i mean the loggers area is a massive footprint.
Saw ride is my all time fave. I love the unexpected drop at the start also the theme.
I went on Sunday and some of the rides were closed so I got refunded and I got free tickets yay! Even though some were closed all of the coasters were open except colossus and still got refunded? Anyway favourite ride: Stealth and I have been to Alton Pleasure beach but I think Stealth is the best! 😆👋
Meme Central merlin is quite good at refunding I got offered a refund if I did have a day ticket but I have a merlin pass so it does not matter
