UD grad here also. 1982 grad. I was not the best High School student and when I checked out OSU (76 or 77) with more than 300 kids in the class I monitored, I decided I needed a smaller setting. Checked out UD and the ghetto agreed with me (along with the smaller classes). I co-oped, so the alternating work/school semesters meant I lived in a lot of different places. Stuart Hall, Founders Hall, Garden Apts (by Frisches Big Boy), Campus South, Irving house, Alberta House, Lowes house. The UD ghetto was epic. Hairy Buffalo parties - now that memory still gives me a headache.
Watch RJ Young's vids: His argument about desire and desperation are on point. This team has been through too much to get this close and not finish the job. It's a BIG intangible and reason for them to prevail.

I’m downright salty that TTUN becoming TCUN in 2021 gets way too little attention when evaluating his tenure. Also, he’s young and learning. Day is 45. Saban was 52 when he won his first title.

What you are saying is contradictory and nonsense Chip Kelly makes calls and the Defense reacts they cannot control the pace of anything. It would have been better to say don't throw an essential pick 6 a pick in the red zone miss all your easy FG's and don't be predictable calling a run play on every 1st down or on 3rd and long.
The one thing that ND, Michigan and Texas have in common; they make you drive the field. The reason the penalties killed drives was they were forced to do so. It's harder to operate a clean drive than just a couple plays with chunks. IMO the one thing they have finally shown is their offense backed up it looks more like when they're not backed up. I personally think NDs style of play is intentional just like Michigan and honestly Texas played. It could easily turn into and stay a close game IMO. Just hope the ton of injuries guy's have can hold up.
Win will mean much more to Day than Freeman. MF has been a hc for what, three years? He's young(er). I know deserves has nothing to do with it. But Day deserves this more than MF. Day has paid his dues.
