  • Causes of Poor Power Quality - Voltage characteristics
This Video is a part of a complete teaching through of the Level 3 British Columbia (BC) Construction Electrician Apprenticeship course. If you are working through the Industry Training Authority (ITA) binders on these materials, you will be able to follow along in those printed materials. Going through these does not count as “taking this course” and is no substitute for classes with your instructor if you are in an apprenticeship program. Some interpretations of the ambiguities in the CEC may vary between myself and your instructor as well. These have only been made public as a study aid for BC apprenticeship students.
Do note that this was current in 2021. If the Canadian electrical code adoption or ITA curriculum, or the printed modules change, some of the materials might become outdated. If you are looking for a specific topic from the harmonized ITA electrical binders, the video title format is as follows “year” “line” “learning task” ( ie. Level 3, Line A5, Learning Task 1 would be written as “L3 A5 LT1”)
All of these videos were made in 2021. They won't be perfect, and you can expect some mistakes as the entire production of these 121 videos was a one-man show, filmed in my garage in temperatures between -12 and +35c and quite rushed. This was right in the middle of COVID, and we were given no extra prep time, I was teaching classes live over Zoom every day, creating and recording videos for the upcoming day, as well as creating new tests and methods for the online world. But imperfect as it may be, there is a solid 54+ hours of content you can refer to as a resource.
