In pre-timeskip Luffy was taller then Nami but it was kinda slight. Post timeskip, things are animated so that Luffy is shorter then Nami but in actuality Luffy has always been taller.

Devil powers, Haki, Skywalk and other abilities are equalisers for size. Size is only a big factor in real life because there are no other ways to compensate for lack of size (not including weapons).

Going by logic, the strength you have to have to sustain a 5 meters tall body is very high. So punching katakuri would be the same as punching an elephant, and trust me, you can't beat an elephant using only your bare hands.

Devil powers, Haki, Skywalk and other abilities are equalisers for size. Size is only a big factor in real life because there are no other ways to compensate for lack of size (not including weapons).
@@kursor52 in real life there is no such difference, height is not a determinant factor for winning a fight, it can help. But there is a difference between fighting someone 20 centimeters taller than you, than fighting someone who is 3 times your size. Going by logic, the strength you have to have to sustain a 5 meters tall body is very high. So punching katakuri would be the same as punching an elephant, and trust me, you can't beat an elephant using only your bare hands.

Also with a height difference the angles your punches are going to hit your opponent are different, it's easier for them keep their distance. Of course short fighters can over come them but they have to work harder because they're at a disadvantage.
