What I have loved about the last 2 weeks, as a North Melbourne member, is watching the opposition players celebrate. You would have thought they won the Grand Final, let alone beating the bottom team. Watch out! We will continue to get better.
Neutrals starting to join in the chorus. So proud of Norf. They may have lost, but they fought till the end. Intensity and pressure was huge. No longer a "laughing stock". In previous times, they would have fallen apart being 39 points down. The wins are gonna come.
Must admit after their performance against the Pies I thought yes they would be better next year but I thought they played their GF against the pies but they backed it up this week again ! Agree with you 100 percent, if you were Freo, Hawks etc anyone around that 6th to 12th spot you wouldn't want to pencil the win in anymore that's for sure. And now with WCE on their day being decent you can't really have a bad game if your fighting for the last few spots in the finals. Which is good for the league! @@Jai-mb8mk
Unfortunately, North’s losing streak at the MCG has extended to 9 matches: 2024 Round 15 vs Melbourne (70-67) 2023 Round 23 vs Richmond (101-72) 2023 Round 7 vs Melbourne (139-49) 2022 Round 17 vs Collingwood (88-81) 2022 Round 1 vs Hawthorn (78-58) 2021 Round 21 vs Richmond (89-56) 2019 Round 3 vs Hawthorn (87-71) 2018 Round 18 vs Collingwood (130-64) 2018 Round 3 vs Melbourne (123-86)

I’m just hitting a year as a Footy Fan. Seems to me talk of expansion is misguided, given the Competition is extreme divided between the haves and have nots. Way too many lopsided contests, expansion exasperates that imbalance.

And we’ve just seen how the dangerous tackle rule can be used to make a great tackle seem bad. Grab your head when it didn’t hit the ground.
should've been holding the ball and sent off for a HIA!
So good to see so many north fans there last night.

I reckon North will be way better next year, they have been playing really well in the past 2-3 weeks
Absolutely. I’d be scared to play them late in the season if my team was fighting for the top 8

Waiting for AFL to issue a fine to Steven May for staging. Surely can’t have players making a mockery of head injuries and concussion.
I would like him to get a week for that actually that will stop it a fine does nothing
@@darrensharman971 yep I think fine is too soft too. Minimum 1 week suspension.
@@imalwaysrightyeah but of a flop but there has been countless players doing that this year everyone just giving it to may coz of the time in the game

He just got a $1875 fine. Can be reduced to 1250 with a plea
North were so close
Dangerous tackle at 5:10 is diabolical
Wasnt as rubbish as the most obvious dropping the ball at 2:00 😉

How's your team gone the last 9 games at the MCG, big boy?

Great close game
Good to see North playing well.
How was the birdies allover the damn screen 😂

Nm great game, now for some wins
I went to that round and the end rlly scared me I go for Melbourne Demons

I was gonna say haha imagine barely beating north but then I remembered I’m a Collingwood supporter
😂
Haha lol true
Holding the ball? Nah. Incorrect disposal? Nah. Holding the ball again? Nah. Dropping the ball? Nah. Umpires know the laws of the game? Yeah, nah.
No but seriously, I'm impressed. How are you north fans still coping?
North great sign could be won but Demons still have Concerns
Oooh so close there
Between May and Pickett, Melbourne have some of the grubbiest players in the comp
The seagulls were the best part of the match. The brawl came second.
North are coming
does AFL respond if so id like some geelong cats merch

Go buy it like everyone else

You can’t be serious saying north had the umps on their side.
@Jai-mb8mk oh yes i am. Check your self in to the local asylum
get spun around twice in a tackle, get taken to ground and get a dangerous tackle free, umps were definitely on Norths side, not 4th 1/4 but still.
