Lunabotics: University of Miami students build a lunar mining robot

During the 2022-23 academic year, a group of engineering students worked together to design, code, and construct a lunar mining robot-intended to excavate materials from the moon’s surface. The students are members of the University of Miami chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, an international organization that enables collaboration, knowledge sharing, career enrichment, and skills development across all disciplines.
