This is so encouraging! I’ve been in the medical field for 16 years (nursing and physical therapy) and I’m looking for something new! Thank you for posting.
Thank you so much for the insight to what it takes to get into IT, from the education aspect to forming networks with others in the field to gain insight. Thanks for Sharing.
I think combining tour A+ and after CCNA was the best path but if you dont have practice labs it is only 50% of knowledge at least you need practice labs and hands on labs. Well done for your hard work and skills you gained i wish you a great career in IT 🙏🙂
Great progress you have made. I've seen the subnetting video you have. Any way possible to make a modern higher-quality version of it? I would love to see it. I am currently on my Network + journey. Thank you for your content.
thank you so much! sorry about the quality of the video. it was from years ago. that's actually a good idea! ok I'll make a better quality video soon. oh I also have a VLSM video in my channel as well
I'm a graphic designer and already taking courses on cybersecurity.. Is not easy combining both together, I used graphics to fetch money and sustain my self while taking cybersecurity courses on line hope is a good one..
Why do you wanna transition to cybersecurity? I've always wanted to be a designer or in the creative area. yeah it's tough but it will surely pay off once you finished your course. Goodluck on your studies and don't give up.!
My love for cybersecurity started when I watched one movie called are you safe... I started developing interest in it and also I want save the life of good people online..
Hhhmmm tbh it is not. IT Support doesn't do database work directly. IT Support will be the path to Network/Systems administration, automation, cybersecurity. But if you find a company that has in house database team, then you can probably get exposed to more database work. I hope this helps!
Hi, I really enjoy watching your videos. I am a receptionist for a international law firm and I am looking for a career change in IT support specialist role. Is it really hard to get into a entry level IT SUPPORT role with just a qualification such as Google IT tech? I don’t have any practical experience.
What are the future prospects of an IT support role? I know people have been doing it for more than five years and seems to me most IT roles requires a degree.
No serious recruiter will ask for bachelor's degree in CS most of them ask for experience or certifications like CCNA Cisco Microsoft azure fundamentals for cloud or comptia + net+
yes I agree with @amarildinio. If you want to get into IT, the job postings will most likely look for experience and certifications. degrees are not really required for IT but some jobs might prefer it but I've met a lot of people with no degree in IT or has a different background that are really good in what they're doing now.
Thank you. It’s good to know these things. I am currently doing Google IT Support certification and I really enjoy it however I think one of the hardest fundamentals to understand in IT is actually Networking but I am trying my best.
@@syeduddin3879 you're welcome! That's great! that's a good fundamental certification to have. Oh I see. networking is kinda tough to grasp in the beginning but it just takes a lot of practice and hands-on work. I suggest you do as much simulation labs as you can so you'll get used to the concepts. Goodluck on learning!
I am studying for my A+ using professor messers courses, mike myers and jason dion.i was going to ask you what the starting salary for help desk and IT support specialist is? i live in NYC.
@@EastCharmer Nice! 20hr is not a bad starting salary I live in New York so Chicago is very similar to NY so probably the salary is the same.I can’t wait to pass my A+ exam so I could get a good job making a good salary. Thanks for the information.:)

is A+ and ccna enough to get into an entry level IT job? was there other certicates you took before your first job?
That would be good enough plus doing a lot of home labs applying all of your skillsets. Those were the only ones I had when I got started
are you filipina?
