Thank you, Michael! Great video! Wishing everyone a Very Happy New Year, here's hoping you spend it in the arms of those you love, it's the only thing that matters! Catch ya next year! 😀
Thank you for the update , amazing how many northwesterners leave to warmer late for the winter, my friend does the same. What you really need at Kilauea is some marshmallows out there.
Sorry I missed your reporting. Last night 20s frost this morning 28 degrees & not foggy up here in the Silverton hills. High today, here was 38 really weird weather now 36 & raining this evening on my little weather monitor inside outside but pretty accurate on temps & barometer. El Ninia has come now a warm weather winter ! It's OK for our family here having a UPS driver! Relax, enjoy your time there with family. Happy New Year. Hopefully, we can see your videos on this station. Beware, take care!
I almost never hear you mention the Kitsap Peninsula, so it was good to hear it finally get a mention haha. Hoping we indeed get some snow in Central Kitsap tonight!
2024 was the year I discovered Michael and the Pacific Northwest Weather Watch. Gonna be hard to top that in 2025 but here's hoping. Good fortune and safe roads to you and everyone in the new year.
Thanks for the updates. I am betting we will get snow in mid Feb because that is when I am planning to drive up to Seattle for the Flower and Garden show. 😂
Hopefully looking forward to a either colder/ drier period to get some winter camping in. Keeping a watch on the fantasy forecast for a ridge, for a bit? La Nina can make up some time in February and March. Thank you for your daily updates, absolutely the most reliable forecasts, no sensationalism.
As for the cold air and snow chances, I have faith 😊 Just have to wait a spell. It's always the same thing - The Ying and the Yang! East is cold, the the west gets cold. I swear it's roughly a 30 day cycle! Thanks
@: I have heard here in California, Florida, Alabama, Minnesota, many other states and I have also heard even up in Canada. This is very unusual, people are questioning everything and the Media will not touch this issue.
Hey Michael, Nationally people are reporting a very dense high particulate fog across much of the eastern seaboard down and around to east texas. Leaving white foamy residue in pools and coating every thing. Any ideas? Looks dangerous to breathe
I’m confused about wishing for snow. I’m assuming he means in the low lying areas? Mt Bachelor and Mt. Hood already have over 100” bases and over 200” have fallen already. And more on the way.
@ Nope. Only lived in WA state a year and a half and not yet aware of name every island, peninsula, land mass, body of water, etc. And the indication on the map did not appear to be as far east as the Hood Canal and Puget Sound. (I know where those two are!) Didn’t realize that area is referred to as Kitsap Peninsula. That’s where Poulsbo and Silverdale are located, right? I’ve actually never even heard the term Kitsap Peninsula. Thanks for straightening me out! Sincerely, Your New Best Friend, Surely 😉☺️ Happy New Year, John Boy!
The fog is the weirdest fog ive seen in Olympia/Lacey in my 33yrs. Small individual particles floating in my flashlight beam when im working graveyard and the fog doesnt effect tour headlights. Doesnt seem like your grand pappys fog.
@@jesselund360 Nope, it has to be at or below freezing, it was 25f when I saw the sparkles. By morning it looked like we had light snow covering everything.
I just got back to the Salem area after two years in central Wisconsin, and the rain is wonderful. How about chill factors of 40 below zero? You prefer snow and ice and life threatening cold to 50 degree rain? Spend a winter back there and you'll catch the quickest spring flight from La Crosse, and spring doesn't come until May. Our leaves don't even fall until mid November, daffodils in early March. Oh yeah, bring on that dryer air!
Those higher hills are quite white this morning in Sultan WA!
Happy New Year to you and your family Michael. Thank you for checking us updated this past year
Thank you for your hard work Michael 😊

Happy New Year! Now, be sure and bring some of that Hawaiian sunshine with you when you come home! ☀️☀️☀️
I've always described our Fraser Valley weather as one to two weeks of below 0C once or twice a year.
Michael, stay away from that volcano! If you insist on going, wear a helmet!
Happy New Year, Michael. All the best in 2025 🎉🎊🇨🇦✌️
🥂 Happy New Year Michael & Everybody! 🕊️
Thanks for another great update. Please keep them coming.
Happy New Year Everyone. Thanks Michael. Enjoy Hawaii.

Pacific northwest eerie watch, the polar vortex is going towards the west, lowering temperatures, the high ridge pressure is going out to sea.
Thanks for the updates. I am betting we will get snow in mid Feb because that is when I am planning to drive up to Seattle for the Flower and Garden show. 😂
We mild temp people want the snow to stay in the mountains, thank you!

Happy New Year Michael. 😊🎉🍷
Wondering 💭 if you know about the heavy dense fog 🌫️ that has a smell and causing people to get sick (respiratory issues.) 🤔
What part of the area are those in
@: I have heard here in California, Florida, Alabama, Minnesota, many other states and I have also heard even up in Canada. This is very unusual, people are questioning everything and the Media will not touch this issue.
The climate change bunch is doing a lot to try to prove its an an extreme problem, at the expense of what they say they care about.
If this fog is generated by our government , it’s not good.
They are trying to ramp up the new pandemic
Great channel!
Happy New year and stay safe.
Happy New Years Eve Michael Snider
Snyder, thx!
Happy New year!!
Requesting an *Arctic Outbreak* and some *Lowland Snow* for the Greater Puget Sound region and Willamette Valley!! I'm waiting patiently.
Good news, no fricken snow - Lincoln City, OR.
Hay News Year's eve enjoy and please be safe.

Send some down to the lowlands of Willamette Valley and Greater Puget Sound region!
Frost in 0regon columbia river low land! 16 ft above sea level. Brrr!
Definitely a extremely mild winter when a day in the mid 40's feels cold lol
Happy New Year!
Yeah man your killing it

I live on the Olympic Peninsula and have never heard of a Kitsap Peninsula? Where is the Kitsap Peninsula?
Surely, you must be jesting.( Kitsap peninsula is the area between Hood Canal and Puget Sound)

Freezing fog, I have a video of it, it looked like sparkles in the air with the back floodlight on.
@SparkyOne549 is 38-40°F cold enough for that though?
@@jesselund360 Nope, it has to be at or below freezing, it was 25f when I saw the sparkles. By morning it looked like we had light snow covering everything.
@@SparkyOne549 oh nice! It hasn't gotten below around 35 or 36 at the lowest for a couple weeks here in oly

PLEASE SAY THESE WORDS....NORTH I D A H O. North Idaho is part of the Pacific North West. California is NOT
The state that shall not be named. No one talks about Idaho in Oregon even though most want to be part of it with the greater Idaho movement.
Right? Maybe this channel should be called West Coast Weather Watch
