Thanks for recommending this piece. It is has such enchanting timbres throughout. I never particularly liked Villa-Lobos' popular pieces, so I kind of wrote him off, but looking more into his works, I've discovered that he is such a master of orchestration.

Diaghilev, Balanchine, Lifar lived in Russia. Many composers dedicated to them their works: Stravinsky, Satie, Villa-Lobos... Why are there no Diaghilevs in modern Russia?
As a native South American I can understand there is no enchanted little anything here. If you by chance were in the forest alone and that singing comes around you are in the presence of something not of this world. It's a legend of the Amazonas for which the composer felt the respect you are not showing.
Man... I encourage inventive orchestration but asking for things like a violinophone (Stroh violin) just makes pieces like this underperformed and I can't program them with my orchestra :(
One of the great composers of the 20th c with a very individual style. Absurdly under performed while complete trash is commissioned by orchestras in the full knowledge that 90% of it will never be heard again because in reality it’s not even music, just dissonant sound.
The first chord played and I am already hooked. I wished Heitor Lobos was more recognized he composed amazing music with such distinctive colors.
the first chord is amazing
what a nice tritone duplication ma friend
@@teacoffee42 look at mr. Smart over here 😂😂
This first chord is a Tristan chord!
His guitar works are most notable
A PAINTER in Classical music!
Hello thanks for remembering us Brazilians !!! Villa-Lobos is an inspiration for us !!!
I just keep coming back to this piece, really like it!
Marvelous upload, one of Brazil's national treasures. Thanks for sharing.
I love the climax build at 18:45, what a great harmonic development

06:28 had to take off my headphones because I thought the fire alarm went off in my building
I love HVL’s incorporation of saxophone in his works. Great piece!
The wind solos in this work are phenomenally written.
THANK YOU soo much. Love this channel!

The first bar made my dog bark and now she’s looking for the bird. Pure mastery
14:25 Lembra a orquestração do bolero de Ravel.
Que pérola!
Amazing Villa-lobos !
CMaj7 just happens to be one of my favourite chords

Apoteótica e trágica, como a história do nosso Brasil. Ele capturou bem o espírito, a "alma brasileira".

Great rendition !

Fantastic, I love this score
Love ur channel, omggggg
Love it..just be a bear to count some of those spots!!
Alright, so I'm vibing with this piece...and then at 5:37 Kenny G casually walks in and crashes the party and I'm thinking "WHO INVITED YOU????"
I've been waiting for this many time. Thanks man. Great job. 👍☺

Best channel on UA-cam. Always great content curated here.

17:45 theres no way tht that soprano saxophone alone is that aggressive

Is this first chord the tristan chord?
Yes it is, and in Wagner's original key, though the violins add a G natural in the second bar.
@@ContemporaryClassical Thank you!
Where's the chime in the score on the final chord?
Man... I encourage inventive orchestration but asking for things like a violinophone (Stroh violin) just makes pieces like this underperformed and I can't program them with my orchestra :(
Just use a normal violin. Better playing it with this small change than not playing it at all
Soprano Sax? 👀
Yes. Indicated in the first page of the score
Ok esse deke eh bom
Could you please do Amazonas
