      Thank you. Yes there will definitely be more, the focus has been skewed to Bretonnia and Tomb Kings in the short term, but a Dwarf army will happen and with that lots more videos. I do have more planned closer to that though, I have some old metal Warhammer Dwarfs that I plan to feature soon as tutorial style videos.

    Gonna be using these vids to help me paint all my Dorfs. Is there a contrase/speed paint/express paint that you would use to get grey/white beards?

    • @MiniatureRealms
      @MiniatureRealms  Рік тому

      Contrast Apothecary White is great for that, so is the Xpress paint white (I think I just prefer it), they’re essentially grey glazes, so over white shade with grey, should give the perfect effect.

  • @OhDearBabajan
    @OhDearBabajan 8 місяців тому +1

    Can you zenithal highlight with an airbrush? To rephrase the question, do you typically only use an airbrush for underpainting?

    • @MiniatureRealms
      @MiniatureRealms  8 місяців тому +1

      I find it most useful yes, but you can achieve similar effects with a drybrush. Either directly over black, or over grey.

    Just got myself some of these. Do you have to wash or prep the prints before priming?

    • @MiniatureRealms
      @MiniatureRealms  6 місяців тому +1

      It depends on how repaired they were when you received them, did they have all supports removed? I’m assuming you’ve brought them printed, so the printer would have had to have cleaned them to a certain extent, with ISO and maybe even warm soapy water anyway. It certainly wouldn’t hurt to do that some more, but if they appear clean and ready to paint, and not greasy at all, then you may be fine and ready to prime.

  • @dannyhalas9408
    @dannyhalas9408 Рік тому +1

    It's tricky with the basing, they've said "most" miniatures will go from 20mm to 25mm so I'm assuming things like goblins won't. But imagine rebasing a load of minis only to have to put them back on their old bases.

    • @MiniatureRealms
      @MiniatureRealms  Рік тому

      They’ve said it’s all 20mm move to 25mm, it’s the 25mm that ‘most’ will move to a bigger size (my guess is 30mm). He’s the direct quote from the latest development diary….. “all 20mm bases have been replaced with 25mm bases. Most (but not all) 25mm and 25×50 bases have been replaced with new-sized bases.”

    • @dannyhalas9408
      @dannyhalas9408 Рік тому +1

      @@MiniatureRealms Yeah, I hear you. I read that wrong bud. Sorry. I'm sill being a little cautious. Night goblins and clan rats look ridiculously small on 25mms. But knowing GW they'll want to sell everyone new bases for a vast amount!
      But oh my god is it nice to rank up even my hammerers on 25s. They only fit in a certain combiation before.
      Great video by the way. Love the paint job.
