I have the same machine exactly what you posted is doing . my questions are gas cover? Can I buy just the gasket inside the gas cap? Other question is do I leave the adjustment you showed on the throttle knobs in that position as yes mine is running smooth in this position you showed…will it adjust itself with time as when it was new
Thanks for watching & welcome to the DIY Raptor Club. We recommend contacting your local Ariens dealer. They may be able to sell you the gasket. If not, a new cap with gasket may be required. 😎👍🔧🔩
Thanks for watching, any update? Being brand new, it shouldn’t even have the thought of giving you trouble. Did you add the correct gas? During engine start, was the unit aggressively over-primed of fuel? That can lead to rough engine performance. Keep us posted.

I've tried everything you recommended in your video and it still runs rich and really stinks up the garage for hours after using the snow blower. It's also not pushing the wet snow out of the shuts like it should. It acts and sounds like it can't run high enough to push the snow out. Any ideas please let me know. Thank you.
Mine does this. emptied gas. And put non ethanol in, tried sea foam , new spark plug . Starts right up but once off choke it it stays sputtering. Cannot run on half or full power just a little over choke and it is fine but anything more and sputter
@@DIYwithMichaelBorders still happening. Changed gas, oil spark plug..Was going to change out carburetor but I ran into a striped screw. Last screw to remove too. So I am trying different ways to get screw off but no luck so far.
@@stacylenihan206 Awesome Awesome!!!!! That’s great to hear and we thank you for being kind enough to share this update. Hopefully many stress free days ahead for you Stacy! 😁👍
@fartpoobox ohyeah Yup, nightmare because of exactly that. They love popping and sputtering. I've spent countless hours chasing popping and sputtering on customers blowers. Best of both worlds, older snowblower newer engine.

I just purchased a new 921046 ARIENS Deluxe and it runs rough. It tractors and backfires when shut down.

Thanks for this. I was turning the choke the wrong way like an idiot. Lol.

Thanks for watching Jeffrey, any update? Have you replaced plug? Are you using Recreational fuel or regular gas?
@@DIYwithMichaelBorders
I haven't replaced the spark plugs yet but l will try that again and I use regular 87 octane unleaded gas.

Thanks for the reply, keep us posted. You may want to switch to Recreational ethanol free fuel. 👍

Thanks for watching, any update? How’s the seal on the gas cap? A bad seal can cause this as well.

Stripped screws are no fun . Keep us posted
@@DIYwithMichaelBorders sawed off striped screw and was able to remove what I had to. Put on a new carburetor and it runs great now.

I have that exact machine... none of this stuff worked... 🤔
Thanks for watching & sharing this. We love this machine. 😎👍
Likely a bad/clogged carb, oil in breather/air filter bad fuel filter. If it's ever been stored with gas. I'd bet carb needs attention.
