I like any game that has creative build mechanics and forces you to experiment with block/part placements I suggest sorting your parts by durability in crossout
Unless you expose weapons deliberately, like on a fast manouvrable vehicle, so having no surrounding armor, and mounted rather high, allows you to shoot from all angles so you can circle enemies.
If we're helping out beginners: one thing Mr. G didn't say was the more armor you add the higher your Power Score, which means you will be placed with higher PS players in missions, and if you're using lower damage weapons, this is a bad idea, bc people with better weapons will destroy you anyway...
There seems to be seeet spots where as long as you stay 1499 and lower, you play against bots and players who can only max at 1499, 2499 and lower and you'll play 2499s or lower. DON'T build 1500 because you will be playing against 2499s or lower and you will be scrapped. The scaling goes up to 3499, 4499, etc. on up.
3:29 - I see almost every match, even at 9K PS. People will mount a Reaper with 500+HP on top of a 93HP part. Worse yet, several weak parts get stacked and the gun mounted on that. So any one of the weak parts can get shot off, causing the whole stack to go.
@@AwesomeRace7 50% ramming dmg = the parts deal 50% more damage to enemy parts it collided 50% collision resist = the parts has 50% resist when enemy dealt collision dmg to it

Good tutorial G. Mixing weapons, if I end up with a couple energy points left for a build, I like to pop on a Pyer(?). If nothing else, the missile warning may distract the enemy for a second. My biggest problem with weapons mounting is protection from melee damage. I've gotten good at preventing wedging but the vehicle going over mine tends to scrape off my weapons. Good show. You may have a future in teaching. ;-)
Aah that orange thing @ 4:15 is the firing arc; I think I unconsciously knew that, but its better in a conscious mind! :D Have taken some helpful pointers from the few videos of yours I've thus far watched.; gleaning information/ideas, that I'd not yet considered. [Though new] I have the knowledge, but your experience can make me wise! TY :D
Also its better to place your weapons as low as you can because it doesn't need to aim down and can armored more while disregarding firing angles. Also things on top are shot first most of the time, especially if it's a weapon
Have you considered that one bumper, the "Defender" I believe it's called? It has solid durability and it seems to have a 1.5 weld point tall area at one point. Given something like that Little Boy, you could armor it up even better and still be able to aim down with it.
You shouldve demonstrated to people who might not know the true durability of those small buggy parts that allow damage to pass through by testing out shooting at it... they tend to last a lot longer than anything else on your build and guys its real simple never mount your weapon to anything but 1. your cabin. 2. your frame. 3. any piece that allows damage to pass through it.
Needed this guide, one of the problems I have is that my weapons get stripped in seconds on some of my builds due to my own poor building skills, then again I am getting lanced a hell of a lot lately so it wouldn't matter how good the build is
I built a protector, rupture brick, Now I use it for my grinding. I can give cover fire, and then be effective up close with both types. I did find that thunderbolt. shotgun is shown as 4.25 damage bars. The rupture, at .25 less damage running at 4 damage bars, does half the damage of the thunderbolt.
Weapon placement/armor question: what's the best way to setup helios? They are one of my favorite guns, but I struggle to keep them on as they seem to have the durability of a wet paper towel.
@@yasc5136 yea as a photon on sm tracks undermount isn't very feasible. Usually tuck them 1 block behind the cab, whether I'm running 2 or 3 back there, and an aurora usually mounted away from them. Nice little video here! May I suggest a video about Raid vehicles? I can still see players going on a Raid with Fuel tanks and machineguns mounted at the front of the vehicle that gets easily destroyed because the bots always aims at the cabin. That kind of stuff...
You want a cab that will give you a perk that will help your guns. And canons are usually heavy. So it is usually a medium or heavy cab. Wyvern, Trucker, Jawbreaker are all OK. But no real perk to help the build. Icebox - Perk gives +15% damage to fixed canons like the 88s. Humpback - +30% damage as you take damage. Can be good with high HP canons like the Fatman. Nova - It's OK. The perk can help with the peek and shoot playstyle. Beholder - Probably one of the best cabs in the game because of the free cloak and 12 points of energy. With that cab, you can go three 88s or 2 six energy canons and have energy to spare for other modules. No generator = less PS and less vulnerability.
I also try hard to Tell noobs that they have to place their weapons to grillpieces, gunmounts, ... but there also russian players who dont understand me that build like Fat man on Lunatic parts

However, the more I play to it I found that It was nearly impossible to play this game as free to play while the last update just messed all the things up according to the players. No. Unless you have a lot of time to devote to the grind, or money to spend you won't make it past the light blue rarity. I tell people that if they like the game just buy one of the packs, or clear out your schedule.
Always one of the weakest aspects of Crossout, it likes to talk about build proliferation and unlimited ways of making builds but in reality if you do not follow the meta then do not expect to compete. Also, not encouraging different weapon types is poor as well by the game for eg: turrets are supposed to be a support weapon but cost as much energy as primary weapons (even tho turrets suck ass). So why can a player not mix and have say a couple of turret launchers and a cannon or MGs or whatever. Simple answer is the build will be crap and not work and carry you into PS rated matches the weapons can't cut it in. Just a very boring grindy repetitive borefest now with limited maps and the same crap happening in matches over and over and over again. Do not miss playing it at all.
