The versatile connection is honestly my favorite part of the headset. I don’t really have a lot of money so having a $100 headset that can be used wirelessly almost anywhere with an option for Aux as a last resort is so good. If you are someone like me who doesn’t want to spend extra money for wireless gaming headset and wireless Bluetooth headset for phones, the Barracuda X is a great option.
Absolutely, especially considering the price point. May not have every feature under the sun but when you can connect it to basically any device you own, it's definitely a good option
Please help the 2.4 usb wireless dongle only works as a remote for playing music. But there is no sound receiving in my headphones. The sounds only comes out on my phone's speaker.
yeah this headset is really great for that multi connection at a low price. ive been juggling towards playing on a pc and mobile and its great to have a headset that can do both.
I just bought mine like 4 days ago. and to be honest im not totally satisfied for the headset. but it works fine for me. its just it didnt reach my expectation about the item HERE'S THE CONS and PROS in my own personal test. PROS. 1. You can connect both 2.4ghz and bluetooth at the same time. note: make sure to check if the version you have has bluetooth. 2022 version has it but older version dosnt so if your planning to buy this. ask the seller firts about the connectivity of the headset. 2. Ear Cups can be swivel so you can use it as a casual headset anytime anywhere 3. battery life is amazing. im playing like 5 to 6 hours daily ( not straight ) and until now i still have 60% of my battery 4. you can use it to anything like anything you can think of. PC MOBILE CONSOLE TV etc. note: XBOX can be connected via 3.5mm jack other than that you can connect wirelessly 5. it has 7.1 surround sound 6. you can charge while playing using 2.4 ghz CONS. 1. Bluetooth and 2.4ghz is not simultanious like you can only hear 1 at a time but there is a smart switch that you can switch to bluetooth and 2.4ghz with a tripple tap and if you are on 2.4ghz and someone calls you in mobile phone. it will switch automatically to bluetooth for you to decide if you will answer the call or not. (social media calls or regular sim calls) 2. Bluetooth connectivity is not that loud unlike you use it on 2.4ghz or 3.5mm jack. its like if your using it in 2.4ghz with half volume thats the only thing you can hear in bluetooth full volume. 3. there is only an app to control the EQ in Mobile phone but nothing in PC. 4. Swivel is facing front. i dont like it. hahahaha. i was hoping it swivels backwards so that it still good looking on you while your not using it and just hang it on your neck. but no biggie for me. 5. it doest have built in mic. so if your trying to use it on a mobile phone or anything else. you need to attach the boom mic so that you can talk to someone whos calling you. not good when your traveling though 😅😅😅 6. Razer give me a ACTIVATION code for the 7.1 surround sound software for pc that will only works on WINDOWS 10 64bit. i installed it and damn i dont like it while playing. I was testing it in a VALORANT game and the gun shots from the front and the gun shot from behind sounds exactly the same. so if your playing on it you will be 100% confused where those gun shots came from. but dont worry just dont connect it via razer 7.1 surround sound software and jus connect it via sound settings on you pc or laptop then it will just work fine. i think the 7.1 surround software is only good for MOVIE STREAMING. 7. lastly. sometimes when you just open up you pc. it will not automatically connected to your headphone. sometimes you need to unplug and plug it again so that it will work just fine. for me this is not a problem coz im using it on my laptop. but for the PC gamers. i think this will find them annoying coz the pc itself is far from them unlike the laptop user. im not sure about it but i think it will. coz even in my laptop sometimes i get annoyed even the plug is just in front of me how much more for those pc games whos their system is below them or sometimes hidden. LAST WORDS : im still satisfied about it coz of the price to value itself. i travel a lot and fly everywhere and this headset will cover my travel time and even have more. its wireless. light weight. comfortable. and not so much gamy headset design for cassual use. still love the product. and i hope it will last.
@@andarwaly Yes. just connect it diretcly via USB DONGLE, Bluetooth or 3.5mm jack. the baracuda has a software to download called 7.1 surround. i try using it in game of valorant then i cant hear anything firing on the back so i didnt use it while in games. just connect it and dont use the software. 7.1 surround sound is good for movie streaming though
Yeah, it's because of the way these type of connections work. For example, Bluetooth compress the audio, which make the sound quality to drop and it can interfere with other devices and even with objects and walls and the range and the sound quality is reduced because of that. The USB-Type C dongle don't compress or at least these is a minimal compression which make the sound quality much better and it don't interfere with objects or walls; normally it will interfere also with other devices but this headphone have Razer™ HyperSpeed Wireless Technology which make the headphone to automatically switch between radio frequences as to not interfere with other devices (it will go to a frequence where there are less devices) so that make both a larger range of use (in distance) and a better sound quality. Lastly, the 3.5 mm jack (wired) don't compress and there are 0 interferences which make the sound to be unmodified and the best out of the other connectivity options.

“Kids dont lie” okay, i’m sold!
does anyone know if this headset allows discord on mobile for voice chat, then game audio on the switch?
it cannot connect simultanious bro. you have to switch it everytime. 1 device on bluetooth and 1 device on 2.4 ghz.
@@JiGzAgRiiSiiBo thanks
Hi, did you find headphones that can do this? I need my headphones to handle PS5 audio and Discord mobile voice chat simultaneously, so I'm on the same boat with you :P
@@ropoles the more expensive arctis headsets do. arctis nova 7 wireless
@@iwishihadgoodinternet7766 Oh wow didn't even know those exist, they are so new :D thanks, I'll give them a thorough look.
great review!! dropped a like!
Does anyone know if this headset with Steelseries Sonar?
Does this works with RTX voice?
Man, even on default the 2022 version is working like a subwoofer.
does have Active noise cancellation?
No
Does this light up?
Man, wish I got these for fathers day instead of those crappy primark slippers!! 😅
Hi Mat, great review! I have two questions for you - 1) Do I need a Razer app to use those headphones or app is required only to set up eq on smartphone? 2) Is noise cancellation that good? I mean - can you hear what you are saying while wearing those? I have Philips PH805BK and it is anoying me a bit that I almost can't hear what I am saying, but mine has ANC and leather-ish ear pads. Greetings!
1. EQ, 2. It blocks 60-70% external noise
Can I connect this to a smart TV?
2.4 Ghz: Over USB, if your TV supports it.
BT: if your TV supports it.
It depends on the TV.
So this is a good headset for FPS games? Btw, love your video!
Street style headsets? I think I'm too old for these 😆 but great review as usual.
Thank you, I just picked a pair on AMAZON for $45...
Look like a good upgrade. Not too expensive.
Hi,
How is the latency when on BT and on gaming mode?
And does it retain the gaming mode settings when you use it on other devices without the Razer app?
Thank you
Gamemode should force you to 2.4Ghz to minimize latency. I believe that's the point of it. Completely shutting off BT.
If I remove the mic, am I still able to talk with the headset? or the mic has to be installed?
MY MIC DONT WORK????
so many headsets out now, was looking at a few of the corsair models. these seem pretty good - not many Razer products under £100!
now they make RBG version dsadsadas
I can't believe I just purchased the 2021 version -_-
i thinks its also cheaper now right? like as far as i know 2021 version is 79usd as of today and 2022 version is 99usd.
@@JiGzAgRiiSiiBo Yeah but for 20 bucks more I would preffer the 2022 version with twice the battery
@@ghostedsuicide Do you have the link? I got mines on 75
@@Emili0ch3 hahahaha. so unlucky theur my friend. me. i was thinkin what to buy for a headset for a month. until i came up with this item. im searching everywhere. like youtube and google. the only thing i ended up with is RAZER BARRACUDA X and STEELSERIES ARCTIS 9. but 80USD more for the ARCTIS 9. so i ended up with RAZER :)
Bought this but end with disappointment. The volume sucks, the bass not good, just rough headset.
Wh
Why
or just buy a good set of audio headphones...no rgb there
Own them
this heaedset is trash.. my bluetooth is not working
RGB Ruins Good Builds........................ Every step towards its Well deserved (and hopefully painful) Death cant come quick enough. Well Done Razer.
Every Razer product I've ever owned, broke. Razer's service did not fix any of them.
what a joke the video is sponsored by corsair
Ewww, loads of ads from you, not made by youtube with bad positioning. You were just trying to put there most ads possible, no meather how does it looks.
I felt triggered so I left a dislike to feel better.
Does the microphone works while on wired mode?
Jack seems to have 3 channels so it should. On the jack, each black strip corresponds to one channel. Left, right, Mic. If you see one with two channels, it's a stereo without a mic. If you see a single one, it's an ancient mono sound aux.
