The change to the AA is aimed at the reticle friction. Currently, it's drawn by fast movement, regardless whom you're aiming at. Someone sliding by in front of the player you're shooting or even in the background will pull your aim off your intended target. That can lead to ending up in a 2v1 rather than two 1v1s because the second player pulls the reticle friction and therefore the first player is left one shot or half health and so both end up shooting you just because the game's AA pulled your aim off the 1st player. As it sounds the change will make it so the target you're already shooting will be prioritised over the pull caused by fast movement, allowing you to finish shooting your target before switching to the other.
@@grayishgoose9972 tell me you have no clue how a controller works without telling me. Fun fact.... mnk has huge hitboxes in comparison cause it has more bullet bending than controller.
@@mythe6669 if an input method is objectively worse it doesn't mean it should receive soft aimbot to compensate. If you choose to play on a worse input method, that's on you.
@grayishgoose9972 Okay, so we're doing the aimbot narrative again. How original. I suggest you grab a controller and try to play Kovaaks (yes, it lets you use controller). No AA, no reticle friction. Tell me how you did trying to hit the target while aiming with your thumbs. Oh, and btw... I switched to mnk because of the insane bullet bending. The hitboxes on mnk are rediculously forgiving as is the hipfire accuracy. Point and click somewhere in the vicinity of the player and you get a crit when controller wouldn't even register a hit at all.
Thanks for the takes on the recent pvp changes, I've been considering getting back into d2 recently (solely because I made the mistake of buying the season pass with final shape), and as someone who really starting obsessing over destiny 1 and 2 bc of the pvp, glad there is still creators like you giving honest takes about pvp for those who know (as fickle as "knowing" PvP means really) the sandbox
I completely agree with you on incentive. The weapons aren't good enough for motivation to play. When blind perdition adept dropped in d1, I HAD to get that gun. Using it with snapshot over the normal version was just a gamechanger. The lack of addressing the ani cheat is the big kicker for me. It's not even the heavy cheating that gets to me its the closet cheating.
Idk who asked for citadel to come back but I hope they got fired lol same with whoever thought not having to stand on the zone in comp to earn points after you cap it 😂
PvP in destiny will simply never be good because of how awful the servers are, the time to kill is practically instant and the connections are so laughably bad, combine that with oppressive ability spam and exotics both weapons and armour it can literally never be balanced or functional.
Tomorrows Answer is actually a god roll with envious arsenal my dude lol. That’s another cataphract situation, godly for PvE, but no one will play it to get engrams and farm for even a non adept lol. Watch Aegis my dude.
While Prismatic is definetely the main problem in PvP at the moment in terms of ability sandbox, even if those didn't exist there would still be a bunch of outliers. Lightning surge, Smoke bombs, Healing grenades, YAS Tripmines (Again), Shatterdive, basically all of Stasis Warlock, Weave Walk, Knockout, Bastion, Icarus Dash not having a stat tied to its cooldown, Shiver Strike and so much more. Even if we were to ban Prism in PvP atm it would take 2 weeks for the meta to be found, Atztecross making a video on it and every second person you see is using the same thing again. Mark my words Void hunters will be hard meta once Prism becomes unplayable. At least on console, because Zealots is fun.
pvp can be saved if people tryhard less, no one wants to play pvp because everyone tries so damn hard and its so damn sweaty. stop tryharding and playing every pvp mode like its a million dollar tournament.
I mean yeah no fun playing sweats. But idk why youd play pvp if not to win? "Play for fun" winning is fun, losing isn't. Feel like the problem is a lot deeper than having to play tryhards - thus the only people left are said sweats.

It also currently leads to frequently blowing yourself up in PVE because a small enemy will just completely pull your aim into them
rotational aim assist just needs to be removed
