Thanks for this..I grabbed a 1.7 to check out. I already have a 50 and 55 and 58mm in 1.4 but always find myself stopping them down and still getting creamy out of focus areas. So, why not try lenses at 1.7 and 1.8? I notice closeup range isn't so hot so I add extension rings. You'd think the Fotasy would already do that, but not enough. Gorgeous lady. Hubba hubba...still in San Francisco since I was seven in 1958.
Hey! Do you have any recommendations on lenses that are good for live shows (high speed, low light) either manual or af. Thank you! Love your channel and your work!
The Photo Dept. Digital I have a canon 6D and for film I have an Olympus OM 1. I want to use film exclusively while shooting the shows, but feel like I should still have my digital handy. Thanks for replying so fast!
Thx for sharing. I recently picked up 2 vintage Minolta camera sets (X-7 and SR-1) with a bunch of accessories (mostly useless these days) but 55mm 1.8 was on one of the cameras and a Tamron 28-50 CF Macro 3.5-4.5 with Adaptall 2 was on the other camera. Here's the kicker, £30 (±$35). I had them all cleaned up and they are looking awesome. There was also another 80-210 mm 3.3-4 Tamron with a 2'nd Adaptall 2. I'm in the market for an XT-3 so I think I'll hold on to them and get the adapter. Do you know if it would work with a full frame (5D 2) + adapter just to play around 'till I get the Fuji? Kind regards.

what kind of camera are you using? as far as manual focus, fast lenses with a long focus throw so you can get accurate focus wide open.
