I have this lens, and a lot (ca. 15) other OM Zuikos from this time (including the 180mm f2!). I would not recommend to use it at hig-res sensors wide open. This vintage glas simply does not perform good enough. 2 stops closed most of them are good, but never excellent.
First of all, most 135mm of any brand are very sharp. Second, on a 12 megapixel sensor full frame Camera most Lenses will look sharp. The Olympus Zuiko 135mm 2.8 will not look as sharp on a much higher megapixel sensor full frame Camera compared to modern designed 135mm Lenses.
If you have a crop-sensor camera instead of a full frame camera such as this Sony you probably shouldn't get too excited about a 135mm lens unless you want a telephoto prime lens. On a crop-sensor camera this lens is the equivalent of a 216mm lens. Older Olympus lenses are very nice however.
I’ve owned this lens for years. Used it back on my Panasonic GH3 (m43). The reach was pretty nice. Can’t believe how well it holds up on these modern full-frame cameras especially with sensor stabilization. 👍
You can try the Suiko 85 F2 100 F2.8 or the Minolta MD 75-150 F4 (Very light and with incredible optical performance for a zoom of its time)
I think f5.6 is where it is at!! Perfect depth of field and clarity.
I have a set of these. the 135mm is one of my favorites.
For some reason I have a soft spot for 135mm lenses... I only have about 8... 😊
I don't see anything wrong with this. Looks amazing.
You should give a Pentax 135mm f:1.8 a try!, Expensive now, but worth it!!!
The true test is not at a resolution of 72 or 96 ppi on a monitor, but at 200 or 300 dpi on a decent-size print.
Does focus peaking work on this lens? Thanks

I found this lens for 25$ on ebay. So i came here to check out review , thank you it's performance is great for the price 🎉😅
Come posso adattare una lente su una mirrorless

Shhh dont drive the price up on this lens! I loooove mine, these zuiko primes are super underrated
