- From the Cosmic Cube to Throg, Frog of Thunder there are loads of cool Marvel easter eggs in the Guardians of the Galaxy Collector's Emporium. We break them down and tell you all about their comic book origin stories.
So has everyone just forgotten what easter eggs are? This dude really made an entire video just showing the Collector's Emporium which is easily accessible and already has explanations to what they are given to you in the game. There's nothing subtle or secretive about it...at all.
You’re right. This is just extremely lazy and lame.

Loved playing this game hope they make a 2nd game
The stuff in the Collectors emporium aren't Easter Eggs. They are LITERALLY THE THINGS THEMSELVES. An Easter egg would be a reference (subtle or not), like how games have a red balloon by the sewers, being a pennywise reference. It wouldn't really be an Easter Egg is Pennywise was just chilling sat in some corner...
Dude they're still Easter eggs
@@cj3670 Depends what you see as a Easter Egg, but generally speaking there is some "hidden" aspect or vagueness to an Easter Egg
Pennywise in a non penny wise game would be considered an easter egg bc it’s not expected
Nah thas still an easter egg. Like Spider-Man in Tony Hawk
You can find character easter eggs in the Nova Corps database such as Darkhawk, Wraith and Quasar
technically Throg first appeared back in the '80s as an ordinary frog that Thor befriended when he had been turned into a frog himself by Loki
Lady Hellbender mention she has a flerken in her collection, a alien that resembles a house cat and has tentacle mouth
The passcode for the Quarantine zone at the start of the game is 0451, the same passcode as Deus Ex game
I’m shocked that we got a Snowbird Easter egg in a guardians of the galaxy game, this is how you do marvel and connect everything in the universe
In young starlords room if you can go into photo mode you can see all the names of his cassette collection there are a bunch of little nods such as a vhs called the bucky barnes collection amd the cover is Sebastian stan
Throg first appeared in 1986 in Thor 364
4:35 Also, the Book of Cagliostro was also mentioned in Doctor Strange.
didn't Strange use the book to learn how to manipulate the Eye of Agamotto?
That Hyde formula is a reference to jack flag, that’s how he gets his super strength
They could've mentioned that Jack Flag briefly appeared in this game as well
The collector's emporium was really cool
What about the poster of Dazzler insides Quill room in the Milano
Yeah, you just told me you never read the Thanos Imperative event when you say that it is about that lmao
Fun fact: The Cosmic Cube was first introduced in Tales of Suspense #80 when Red Skull uses the cube and other serveral Marvel Comics stories (such as Avengers: Standoff and Secret Empire) as MCU Fans know as the Tesseract aka The Space Stone and Monica Rappaccini aka The Scientist Supreme wields the power of the Cosmic Cube in the final moments in Operation: Hawkeye: Future Imperfect and Beating The Odds Villain Sector in Marvel's Avengers as well as the Cube created by A.I.M. and forming into Kubik to create Adaptoids as enemies in Avengers Video Game
These have virtually nothing to do with each other. Also you need to work on your writing skills.
Baffling this got upvoted 30 times lmfao. Enjoy your crumbs people 😂
Marvel❤
In Peter's room in the Quill farm, you can find the book Deathtrap Dungeon from Ian Livingstone. That book truely exists, and back in 1998 it was a PS1 game from Eidos too.
Why does Starlord look like Exploring with Josh?
theres a really funny cassette tape easter egg at the very very very start of the game in Peter's room and its literally a cassette tape with MCU Bucky Barnes on the cover and it made me laugh...FYI you can only really see it in photo mode
So can immediately tell they don’t know what they are talking about because throgg has been around a lot longer than 2009 lmfao
Didn't Throg first appear in the '80s, in Walt Simonson's run, tho?
Yes, this video is very subpar, and they don't have the right info for a few things
What about the Krakoan language?
These regs never walked thru a gate
Rocket talks about klyntar and so does Lady Hellbender.
Mantis is my favorite
How did the collector get this stuff?!?!
Rocket mentions that he once faced a "klyntar parasite", which is better known to us as a Symbiote.
ign do your research, seriously.
Mandarn ring : MCU = bracelet , Comic = Finger jewel ring
My GOTY.
pop based soundtrack?
What about the Easter egg of the avengers and Spider-Man dimension ????? When you’re in the cortex ?..
Non-comic related easter egg in the game: when you take a shower as starlord he uses the same exact animation as Adam from deus ex mankind divided
I'm sorry what!? That was not Throgs debut
No, no it wasn’t XD Marvel fans that are only majorly familiar with the movies first learning about joke Marvel characters like Throg that a lot of us comic-first fans know is hilarious XD
Pop soundtrack? wts
Magus creeped me tf out
fr thought the game ended with the credits 😂
The collectors museum is my favourite
Top 3
"Pop music soundtrack"? It uses old, classic rock, not pop music 😂 who tf wrote this?
WHAM is not Classic Rock. ....LOL
