After seeing your opinion about this game you should really play the new one. I am certain you are going to like it. It also has a good emphasize on the guardians and their relationship with each other. Also better gameplay.
Saying the new Guardians of the Galaxy has better gameplay than the Telltale version is like saying Usain Bolt is faster than a quadruple amputee because Bolt has legs. Telltale's games were all about the story with simplistic gameplay so anybody can get stuck in-the new Eidos-Montreal game is a full-blown videogame where gameplay is just as significant as the story.
I would slice off my left arm if Telltale made another Guardians game except it's the crew cast to vol 3. Please. I want to see more of this found family
The new Gaurdians of the galaxy game is actually amazing, the combat was fun, the gaurdians have arcs, both apart and as a crew, you choose what to say, and it has a change on what happens, including changing some missions entirely. And never gonna give you up is on the soundtrack of this game
I remember it, especially Rocket and Lylla's past. Even more now, with the new guardian's vol 3, those were the most emotional and sad moments in both the game and the movie.
This game prepped me for the fact that Star-Lord was going to be the only playable character in the new game when it was first announced. Everyone else was either mad or confused by the decision and I was like “First time?”
I love this game, actually I love the new one as well. Surprisingly both Guardians of the Galaxy games got at least one thing right and it was the most important thing: the Guardians themselves. Their dynamic as friends-turned-family-but-a-bit-dysfunctional-from-time-to-time is literally perfect in both games and both games have good dialogue writing for the Guardians. You really feel like you’re actually part of this team and family when you’re playing the games.
The new guardians game is pretty great it's like a mix of the Avengers in combat a little bit of mass effect and the telltale game you should try it it won't let you down.
Played both and I gotta say Square Enix picked up a lot of story dynamic from telltale especially the choices you make to the game that leads you to another scenario in a level that leads you to an alternate route. As for character interaction I would say it’s only a par lower from telltale’s but still a very good dialogue options. As for action the new game definitely has more exciting combat.
It honestly sucks that things like James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad and Square Enix’s Guardians of the galaxy are always gonna be over looked because of past failures
Alex Webbs content is unmatched, god tier editing with a good mix of seriousness and just fucking around, love the videos mate, keep up the good work my g!
I prefer the NEW guardians of the Galaxy game! You should play it too! Is everything you love about this game, but better! Edit: the guardians of the Galaxy have a pretty SMALL rogue's gallery, actually. You would think that, being a dysfunctional family that works in SPACE, the creative celling for villains would be ASTRONOMICALLY high, but NOPE. I don't know if the comic writers are lazy, scared, or whatever, but (until the date this comment was made) the GotG have only 6 villains EXCLUSIVE to them: Nebula, Yondu, The Phalanx (a race of cyborgs), The Church of Universal Truth (space cult), the Blood Brothers (Bebop and Rocksteady, but in SPACE) and J'ason/ Mr. Knife (Peter Quill's dad and the leader of the Spartax Empire). All other villains are either borrowed from other heroes or are just universal villains that every hero has fought at least once (ex: Thanos, Ego, etc.). 2 Edit: it has come to my attention that the Phalanx isn't really a GotG original villain. So they really only have 5 villains in their gallery.
I think it’s a mix of editorial wanting existing characters, writers wanting them to fight thanos, and the iconic team being relatively young being from the early or mid 2000s
And the worst part is the Phalanx were X-Men villains to begin with, and now I'm wondering who the villain in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 is going to be
@@maldon3659 the Phalanx is an X-men villain? Then I guess they really only have 5 original villains. I'm betting the villain of the guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is going to be Magus, since he's linked with Adam Warlock.

The new Guardians of the Galaxy game is a lot like the telltale one as in it really gets the Guardians right. It also had some different pathways you can go on, and a lot more fun game play. You should definitely give it a shot
You really should play the next game because it has tall tail elements where your choices effect the game. Can lead to short cuts, or more rewards or even skip battles.
Lmaooo having just finished the new gotg game, I’m actually kinda of surprised how many story beats are similar between the tell tale one and the new one. Like Thanos is already gone, the plot revolves around something that can supposedly bring back dead loved ones, exploring backstories of each guardian and their traumas, QTEs (which if they’re a deal breaker for you, in the settings you can make it so QTEs auto succeed), choices that allow for different dialogue outcomes and some interesting story beats but it always results in the same ending, and the supposed main villain being subverted.
I loved this game but got stuck at the part where Gamora is interviewing Nebula in the bar. From what I could tell, there was supposed to be a cut seen, but I some how softlocked myself.
i enjoyed both the telltale and eidos games, but for someone to compare the two in other aspects than plot in unfair, it honestly comes down to personal preference
I loved this game too! I listened to the soundtrack constantly, and when “Crazy on You” started playing in the theater during GOTG Vol. 3 I was thrilled because I recognized it from the Telltale game.

I have this game on steam. I remember getting 2 days after Telltales annouced it's closure. I was lucky cause 2 weeks after I got it the game was delisted from steam.
Listen, I finished the new guardians of the galaxy game today and it’s not like avengers, of course the graphics and stuff but, it’s not a super long game, with the same people to fight, it’s actually very different objectives it’s not about fighting one big robot just to fight another one. I cant explain it much but I know you wouldn’t be disappointed. Also I would like to point out that it’s not just a dark futuristic setting inside of a ship the entire game, there’s snow and water and all types of planets you go to throughout the story, and the lines can be pretty comedic.
The new guardians of the galaxy game has free MCU outfits of the characters that are collectible by playing the game 100x better than Marvel’s Avengers where you have to sell your kidney for MCU outfits
