Streaming may not be important for many people, particularly many older people, but its essential for many of us. One of the biggest reasons i got hearing aids is because i watch tv late at night. With the volume higher, it was causing trouble with my neighbors. But my pc and tv connect to my elehears. Since I've gotten them, i havent had any complaints from my neighbors. I also enjoy listening to audiobooks from my phone on my commute to work. I am so glad I spent a litte extra for a model mith Bluetooth connectivity. These are major quality of life issues for many of us.
I got the phillip 9040's a week ago in Costco. I had an older pair of ReSound aids, 6 years old. Night and day difference. Audio quality is great and I'm amazed at how good the Audio streaming can be, once you adjust the equalizer. Loving the 9040's so far but I would agree, they should open more settings in the APP. I'd recommend them!
Have you compared the Philips 9040s to the Jabra Enhance Pro 20s? If not, I’d love to see that comparison in a future video. I had my one month check-in at Costco today…one month into Jabra Enhance Pro 20s. My awesome audiologist swapped out my tubes for slightly longer tubes, and she put large open domes on both HAs to stop them from wiggling out. Sooo much better. Well worth the trip back to Costco for the check-up.
I chose my hearing aids to optimize streaming. Older people stream, or some of us do. I intentionally chose Phonak because they use general Bluetooth and work better than most other brands with Android. The Asha protocol is not bidirectional, so you lose hands-free calling. This is 2024, and Bluetooth capabilities are a non-negotiable feature.
Thanks for the shoutout Brian! I got the Alpha Pros but unfortunately, they didn’t work correctly. I went through everything and even had my daughter try them and still didn’t work. Elehear support has been very helpful. They helped me troubleshoot the problem and even reached out to me. They are sending me a replacement pair, so I will let you know how that works out. I will say that Customer Support is very good with Elehear products. That’s always a plus.
I am a new subscriber and not sure whether you have covered the Apple Air pods Pro II as a hearing aid. I am using one and is very satisfied with it. I can stream music, pause it with one click. A long click can go into noise cancelling mode. Another long click will get back to transparency mode without ever touching the iPhone. It is programmable with an audiogram. Only drawback is short battery duration of 6 hours.
I haven’t had a chance to try them out, I need someone to send me a pair or have apple send me a pair. I wish I had the money to just buy a pair but I don’t.
Hi, love the channel, is there any way you could do a review or informational video about the upcoming Philips 9050’s, I’m due for some new hearing aids in August and was hoping Costco will have them by then. Thanks
I watched a UA-cam Video today done by an Audiologist in the UK. Looks like the Phillips 9050's are releasing. It will probably take Costco a while to get them.
Yes, this is true. I even put a link to the Philips website regarding the new 9050 series but it seems they deleted it. Costco should start selling them soon.
I returned the 9040 Phillips yesterday because the Costco technicians (exaggeration) didn't know how to set them up. Among other things they refused to set up programs claiming the aids adjusted on their own and didn't need programs.
For anyone - If you're listening to music via bluetooth to your hearing aides - Do you hear outside noise and voices over the music/podcast ????? Can you control which ear music is played???? such as I usually use buds but only one ear so I can hear traffic etc... tks.
When you are streaming, you have 2 volume controls. One for the hearing aid mic, and one for the streaming audio. To control the mic volume, use the buttons on the hearing aids or the app. For the streaming audio, use the volume buttons on the phone. Mic is surrounding sounds and streaming is the music or podcast.
World Hearing Day Special Offer: $459 for one pair , $899 for two pairs.
Duration: March 1st - March 15th
Ohhhh yaaaaa

What issues did you have?
They just didn’t work. I got the replacement set yesterday and they are fine.

Looks like the ELEHEAR hearing aids, worth $459, are worth a try!
lets gooooooo
I'm considering returning my philips 9040 to costco. The speech in noise in the app is far inferior to my old resound restaurant mode. (Andoud phone.)
ya, i agree

Oh boy. That stinks man, I’m sorry.
are the 9040's an upgrade overall compared to the KS 10.0 ??
I like them better than the KS10 but I wouldn’t consider them a significant upgrade.

I have the 9040’s and are very happy. I had two pairs of Resounds before this and the Phillips are far more superior for a lot less money.
Nice!

Ouch!
it has a scrap charger, don't buy it, you have to charge it every day
Of course you do, you have to charge all rechargeable hearing aids everyday. What are you talking about?
@@HearingClub were they talking about the remote charger?
