    Nice job but as someone who is in EMS I am surprised to see neither one of you were wearing a life jacket. Don't underestimate the power of water, I have seen people get swept away and drown in far less water than what was in that river.

    You need some hand held two way radios for working at a distance from each other so you can hear each other with out having to yell and hope to be heard.

    should fix that air leak before it takes out the compressor ...besides its fuckin annoying !!!!!

    • @K9River
      @K9River 8 років тому +2

      The "leak" is designed to be there to protect the tank. The air compressor runs 100% of the time. It is always pumping air. If the built-in valve didn't release the air when the pressure got high enough, the compressor might get ruined trying to pump too high of air pressure. Or a line or the tank itself might burst.

    How did you wind up with a hydraulic violation? I looked in the RCW and did not find anything which classified a pickup as a fish and it being parked in a river is its nest, unless using the hook on the recovery cable to enter the river and hook to the pickup is unlicensed fishing without a permit.

    Next time make sure you bring along at least 50' of rope so when you or a helper have to cross water like this, they take one end of the rope with them around their waist and you tie the other end to the eye (Not the hook!)so you can drag the hook and line across afterwards and not just toss the line or drag you down as you wade across.

    Lieutenant Dan, it ain't got no wheels!

  • @plozikou
    @plozikou 6 років тому

    When you go into this kind of adventure with a pickup, so be properly equipped, at minimum get a front and / or rear winch (with long cable). So, you just need a good tree and you are out of trouble. Also, when it is possible, don't go in this kind of trip alone, two vehicles are always better.

    • @HILLAUTOBODY

  • @atfsurrey

    Why does the compressor keep turning on and purging on your truck? Air leak? Good vid btw.

    • @atfsurrey
      @atfsurrey 8 років тому

      +m9 ovich You mean the air-drier right? If so, I was taught that it's not necessarily on a timer, but it purges when the air tank is full. But it's purging so often, it sounds like as soon as the tank is full, it loses enough air to start the compressor again, causing it to fill and purge over and over. Could be wrong, just curious.
