Hello and thank you for the video! Few things, 1) this was the straw that broke the camel's back, I needed this push to finally watch this show; we powered through and got it done, whoo! 2) were your earrings in tribute to the show, haha? 3) I've been meaning to say... of COURSE I watch to the end, how else could I hear the awesome second line of the song! 'Whaat's anya miiiiiind' :) Take care!
@@StephAnya Oh, I meant to tell you, I usually listen at double speed (for better or worse) and it really changes the vibe of the tune, give it a listen and let me know what you think :)
omggg I've been waiting for this video, You is honestly one of my favorite shows and season 3 was my favorite too. honestly I kind of wished there were more episodes where the two of them worked together as a team / couple, I thought that was so interesting and could have honestly watched a whole season of that
@@StephAnya - time to start subbing for Dr. Phil! He did one day a week for Oprah before he got his own show. Please consider. Here and on GQ channel - you shine on camera! Ramp that up. Meet your true calling, the masses await.
Hi Steph, I finally finished “You.” I agree that the therapist became aggressive with assumptions, not knowing, these two were lying all along. I think the therapist’s lines were written this way purposely to show she was not able to figure them out.
Omg yes. Your GQ video was amazing and I immediately came over to subscribe. Your channel is meant for other things, but I just wanted to tell you your pointers have also given me good foundation for a romance on paper! I can’t wait for this :) love your wisdom!
This. Was. Fantastic!!! Thank you so much for your videos, you're brilliant! 🤩💕 I would love a more detailed video about Joe's diagnoses and about Love and her mum (I think I'd prefer the latter)! Who doesn't love a difficult mom-daughter relationship 😅 please please please a part 2!!
The fighting to be right section reminded me of when I saw Michelle Obama on her Becoming tour. She said when she and Present Obama first went to marriage counseling, she expected to be told that she was completely right and her husband needed to change. She was very candid with how shocked she was when the therapist suggested that she might need to work on some things too.
Yes, Joe is psychotic! You nailed it on Joe! He definitely has a myopic way of being attracted to women. It’s true, Love is more impulsive. I have to watch the last episode again. It is so action packed. Steph, the next show, can you do Dexter (showtime)
Looking forward to more videos about You. I understand why Sherry and Cary's relationship was so refreshing to me. Their ability to openly communicate and be vulnerable with each other is admirable.
When you mentioned the link between "I know what's best for you" and disrespect. I paused for like 10 minutes lol. How many PARENTS (even when they refer to things other than safety), teachers, bosses do that stuff! Like you said, it takes away a persons agency in their own life, especially if those words are backed up by actions like parents getting mad when you don't take their little pieces of advice. Wow. That hit hard... So yeah, I'd be interested in a video about the relationship between Love and her mom (I was so pissed when she asked her mom for help in a bind, but then also the convo her mom had with Joe!!! So complex!) ALSO! The way you so clearly and concisely explained disorganized attachment was *chef's kiss*. It gave me another ah ha moment! Awesome videos. Look forward to whichever spinoffs happen from this one :)
I am so happy to have found your channel. I’m going to school to become a counselor. No one in my family has ever been to college so it feels like new territory. Your channel has taught me a lot about this career field. Thank you for being so open about your career and inspiring me to continue on this path. You’re the best ❤️❤️❤️!

Thank you so much you have made my online MFT program so understanding. I watched the entire season 3 of you and the series reflects on relationship, mental health, and structure family therapy. Again thanks
I love your videos where you analyze couples/relationships/people in the media! If you are interested, the musical "The Last Five Years" is the story of a couple coming together, and then their marriage falling apart. It's the movie that first sparked my interested in family therapy, and there is MUCH to dissect within it. I would love a reaction video to it someday if you're interested! The movie version stars Jeremy Jordan and Anna Kendrick!
Yes, multiple videos on YOU, please. but maybe just like you did the GQ triangulation piece in this video. Maybe you can just reference YOU pieces (Like love & mother relationship) in another show that has a similar relationship.
I think Joe has OCD along with PTSD. The way he creates relationships and all the compulsions he has screams either ocd or ocpd to me. Also his morality, so strict with his morals no matter what they are and pretends he always follows it
Please make more videos about You! I’m so curious what your perspective is on the relationship between Love and her mother the second and third season! I’m interested in your view about the family dynamics between parents and the grandparents when it comes to raising the child. I’m also curious what you thought of the last episode of season three when Love warns Joes current obsession (I forgot her name) about who joe is and Love’s epiphany! Thank you 😊
Hi Anya! I love your enthusiasm and passion. It's people like you who make the work so safe and positive for the clients who need it. I watched your video on burnout/ compassion fatigue, and I wanted to ask if you knew anyone who took it as a sign they don't even want to be a therapist anymore. I see my own therapist soon, but I can't tell if I'm burned out, feeling a "gut feeling", or both. I’m scared to disappoint the people in my life if it is a "gut feeling" that I should quit, and I'm also scared of regrets or the future in general. Thank you for being a part of the profession!
