I wish more makeup artists would recreate their celebrity looks on models for UA-cam specifically, short form isn’t great for that imo. It’s a lot more helpful than just posting the products and not even mentioning the eyeshadow shades. Plus I just find the act of someone applying makeup to other people so satisfying and calming, especially Korean makeup artists like I am Meang (Blackpink’s makeup artist), Haemin (gidle’s makeup artist) and also Beauty Soom. She does makeup asmr, mostly in makeup shops but her self makeup videos are just as good. They’re all so high quality and actually show the products and shades, like why is that not common here

I hate how Hollywood’s sick pressure gets to people and makes them feel like they have to conform into fake people physically. I think this type of video is super helpful. It’s a fun way to do a tutorial, but it’s also really good for us to see how the same products can look so different on different people. A more complicated version would be to try to figure out what products look the same on your skin tone. So, for example, figuring out which lip liner and lipstick in your collection looks on you the way these ones look on Selena. It would be fun but probably a little too much for a video.
The blue in your eyes really stands out with those warm tones you look bloody gorgeous! Selena is definitely wearing a different lip colour but it still looks good 👍 xxx
