We have John Deere skid steer---- we are the owners, OUR SON is the operator. It is his baby- been his baby since his early teens. Cleaned many stalls and moved numerous- probably millions by now of round bales, square bales with a grapple/hay accumulator in groups of ten.
Thanks for sharing that jokersmom.
Back years ago before i started watching this kind of video I never thought about how playful a cow could be. I enjoyed seeing the steers playing with each other. ❤😂
Awesome, Mike! Another fun video to watch. I love when the cows interact with you! I hope people realize that cleaning up pens of animals is a never-ending job on the ranch. Take care! See you Thursday!
Thanks for watching Lisa.
The qyestion about why A team is in the shelterless lot is because they will go straight into the Aeroclip and trailer!! The the B team will move over, eadily, and be prepared to go atraight in when its time. Makes for less cattle wrangling!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
Love getting to see the kiddos for a bit!! I wonder why you don't reconfigure the feedlot so both classes get to use the barn that you could divide in half. Just wondering.
Howdy Mike, it was seeing the Kiddos and Bean playing and helping😊.
Not a nice job but a necessary one!
JO JO IN VT 💞☃️
Man! Gracie is growing! Sooo cute!
Yes, she is!
Always found a box blade to be a pretty good tool for that work
Make an alleyway out of the A team behind the B team to the back side of the barn and give the a team half the barn
Nice holiday intro Mike! 😊
Thanks Joni.
Good job Mike 👍
Clean corrals = healthy critters ❤
Hi Mike And All Others Thanks For Sharing Your Videos 😊😊 Stay Safe And Everyone Have A Bless Week ❤❤
Thanks you too, Wykeisha
I hope we can see some fantastic sunsets on the feed lot cam. Thanks.
Good job Mike. Like the windbreak so far. You’re a hard working guy. 🐂👍
Nice little helpers. Always something to do on a farm.👍❤️🇨🇦
Thanks Mike... it's always fun tot watch your videos and to see the kids and bean as well! Happy for you to finally clean up the feedlot for the steers and I can't wait for the next continuing video about the pole barn...
Thanks for watching Trailwalker.
Merry Christmas to you Mike and your family.
May you have a joyous and blessed Christmas and New Year.
From Iowa
Thank you for Merry Christmas and same to you. I do not do the happy holidays.

❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏 Doris, Penrith 🇦🇺🦘
Hey, Mike, did you bolt the bottom down too? Cause I could see that wind pushing that up. Alright, have a good day.
Hi Mike, thanks for another awesome video. I enjoy watching all your videos and how you interact with the cows. You’re in our thoughts and prayers each and every day have a wonderful evening and God bless.
Hey bean. Haven’t seen him for ages. Was almost afraid to ask. Thanks for sharing
Hi Mike. I know the initial cost may be a bit expensive, but have you thought about putting a 6-8-foot-wide concrete pad in front of the feeder and water trough. It would keep the feeding/drinking area dryer and cleaning out the corral much easier in the future. Just a thought. Hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas. Blessings and always be safe.
Good plans Mike. Looking forward to videos Very Merry Christmas to your lovely family !!! God's blessings for a peaceful and Prosperous 🎊 New Year Kiddo! Joni
Thanks for watching, and Merry Christmas to you and yours Joni.
Hi Mike. I was watching Marty in the lot. U said U wanted a replacement for FIRECRACKER & I know she's not black & white but she is so gentle & couldn't U do her like U did him? Please just think about it. It's really hard to find a cow that is gentle like she is. I grew up on 2 big farms & wish I was back on them but not. Just think about it-please! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO U & YOUR WHOLE FAMILY-BE SAGE & GOD BLESS,,,,, PHOENIX😁✌👍🌲🎄☃
One thing I would suggest in front of your cattle feeders is maybe putting three or 4 feet of cement so that’s area stays dry and doesn’t get bogged down like that.
Thats not a bad idea Christy.
We did that with pigs, made clean up so easy
Looks like you're making More work than you have time for! Oops! Hope you get it all done. Thanks for the video Mike Don't know if I could keep Marty in the feed lot if I were you such a friendly cow
Thanks for watching Loralee.
That’s a job but a lot better than the spring time when you did it Hope you’re whole family has a great Christmas and a wonderful New Year’s ❤
I am wondering if extending the windbreak to make a loafing shed where it sits, would it be an obstacle when moving cattle into the chutes or when cleaning the pens?
It looks to me like a small tractor with a box scraper would be faster and easier than using the skid steer to clean an area the size of those pens.
I wouldn’t get too deep cleaning out the wet spots, if you could get some gravel to put in there and build it up so the water would drain away it should stay drier and cleaner.
Thanks!
Good to see kids having fun and helping.
Another great video!
Looks like it's going to be a brown Christmas in Wyoming this year. Hopefully we'll get a snow before though! 🙏🏼 🙏🏼 But clean corrals are nice too! Good to see Bean's doing well too. Always nice to see kiddos playing outside too! Love Grace's sweatshirt too! 🤠
Great work Mike. Call him the Kissing Cow. It is Nasty, but Someone has Got to Do it, might as well be u. Good to see Bean running around helping, being a Dog Boss. Lincoln is growing like a little weed, going to be quite Tall I Suppose. Grace is talking more. Amazing how Time Flies. Keep up the great work, I surely miss Jeff. Thank u for sharing!
Does the 4055 tractor in the "Sale Barn" run?😐
Mike! Why not put some tracks on your skidsteer? 😊
Don't work to hard brother and have a merry Christmas 🎄 you and your family 🎉🎉
Thanks, you too Francisco.
Thanks for sharing our wyoming life I hope you have a great week
Thanks, you too!
Thanks our wyoming life I appreciate it
I wish y'all a very Merry Christmas from my family to your family. May God bring y'all blessings. I really enjoy watching y'all on the videos. My summer job was working on the farm in western New York, so I enjoy watching. ❤❤❤
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
My waterer was a point of soft ground like yours, we put an in-ground waterer in and put in base around it. So base in our area is white chat fines or dust and it packs really well. You might try that or an equivalent, just around your water tank areas, just a suggestion. Good work Mike, I do like the Hustler! Have a good night!
LOL kissing cows...just thanking you for cleaning out their room!!!
LOL
Good Job Mike!
Hello from st cloud Minnesota have a great day and happy holidays to you too and your family
Hello from Gillette, WY, and Merry Christmas to you.
A bunch of good stuff for the garden.
I am not a farmer but I have a question Mr.
Mike. When you get that cleaned out and filled back in the way you want it…. Could you not make a oblong slab of concrete in front of those feeders (cover it with a thin of dirt). And you may want to make it large enough for the feeder to sit on and a space in front of it. I know this will require you to wait till warmer weather or may not work at all but it is just a thought that came to my head.
We have to start filling your board in the shop!
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas filled with Love, Peace and Happiness and a very prosperous 2024‼️
Mike its a loafing shed , 3 sided loafing shed.
Good video (and exceptional “commercial”👏👏👏…☺️)
Glad you got the cow lot cleaned up. After you get some dirt put back it will make it pretty good. Take Care and Be safe on the Ranch. Out
Thanks Ronald
I TOTALLY ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO MIKE
Glad ya liked it Randy. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing.
Your welcome Jesse, and thanks for watching.
Subdividing the barn and pen still seems easier and less material to buy. You do you
That’s what I was thinking. Split the
Existing shed down the middle, inside and out. With one central water trough in the middle.
Have you ever thought about putting the loading chute in between the 2 pins? That would save you moving the steers around when you have the move them.
I saw a wind breaker that turned into shelter breaker.
Moments with the kids are never to be underestimated
Cleaning up is never fun but it is rewarding. Good job.
You can pour concrete in side the lot’s where the water tank and the feed bonks are and it be easier to clean up
Can you do a "What's in all the buildings" video? Please? Like the 2 quasit huts across from the green equipment storage area?
Those are Erin's green high tunnels where she has gardens.
Thanks Evelyn for answering Tracey.
I feel so bad for Marty but I also understand.
Oh how I wish I had a skidloader when I had my acreage instead of a wheelbarrow, pitchfork, and my back.
Been meaning to ask, what are those hills in the background of your "c team" pasture? I thought Wyoming was pretty flat?
Anyway, please keep making these videos, they are such a relaxing part of my day😊
Have you considered rotational feedlots as a possibility? I know you limit movement to improve fat gain, but you could still keep them in a limited area, just move them kind of like rotational grazing for 1) soil/compost quality and 2) reduce mess/making it easier to clean? I would hate to walk in my pee all day!
That grapple might work dual with a slide on floor. Anchor over a few tines. Cool piece, thanks for sharing, Mike. -EZ
Thanks EZ
she kisses to change her future status as hamburger
Are you planning to add a scale in the feed lot similar to the one in the aero quip corrals? Loading those steers up, and going back and forth, takes up your valuable and limited time.
That is on the list of things I wanna do in the future Luckydog.
Hi Mike
Mike does that steer cam have a magnet, connected by magnet?
What brand is the cam? How is the cam powered? Anyone can answer if u know.
My family enjoyed the meat and summer sausage
i have tweels on my new holland equipment and love them. whats your thoughts on them?
That seemed to go so much better than it did when you and Jeff tried to do it last year. Did you have the Hustler big grabby thing then? Certainly seemed to make a difference! Why would you get emails about stopping work when the sun goes down?
Winter Soltice.
Adaptive grazing is healthier than feedlots. Beter for soil, plants, animals, humans, and the wallet.
I wonder if you put sand or gravel down then dirt over it would that hold up better around the feeders
It might Jeff.
No f*** that......Mike is the channel... be real it's OUR WYOMING LIFE.......I WILL MISS MIKE.......
Thank you for another interesting video. Marty is so sweet! ❤ I think licking is the cows' way to show affection and curiosity. I've seen them licking each other. When Graham Parker of The Hoof GP walks in the dairy cows' pens videoing something, he gets licked quite a lot. I'm renting a horse who's also a kisser. He usually licks me quite a bit while I'm grooming him. 😃
It's nice that you got so much done. The cows do find ways to surprise you, don't they? The pens are already looking nicer.
I interested to see how you can fit a pole barn in there so it's not in the way of handling the cows.
Looks like you’re going to get about 6” of snow for Christmas.
Maybe? But ya never know what Mother Nature will do.
I hope Santa brings you a repaired, like new gator for Christmas.
Now that I wouldnt mind at all Alan. Merry Christmas
@@OurWyomingLife same to you and your family.
Have you ever thought of adding drainage under there to help keep it dry?
No, I sure haven't.
I have a 100' roll of 4" perforated here extra from building my house. I'll drop it off next time I go to Casper if you want it. Just let me know.
It's not fun tackling those wet areas ( #A & #B ) by the water trough and the feed bunks. Especially, when the weather changes and starts snowing, Every effort we make to better conditions for our animals and their well-being, we become better producers= "Merry Christmas"
Merry Christmas to you Laura.
Bigger bucket and les commercials
QUESTION : IS MARTY ON THE A TEAM OR B TEAM
What happened with Ethel and her baby
No baby, she was not pregnant or lost it! 😔
Marty really likes people, why are you having Carrie try to tame her calf when you have one as friendly as Marty for people to visit? I understand that Marty can't earn her keep by having a calf, but could there be another way?
Hi.
Hi Patricia
👍👍❤🐂🎄
There's no way that's two hundred pounds of feed and means you picked a hundred pounds up in each bucket no
How old is Bean? he must be getting up there in age
Bean is 3 or 4 now?
Cows lick to get the salt off your body
You really need to think about getting some help Mike, a young person that are willing to learn how to run the skid steer and help with jobs around the ranch. You struggle with working the skid steer and more often than not just make a mess. Get some help mate.
When u will spread manure on fields
Another job well done! Wish you didn't have to send off Marty, but I understand there is no choice. Be Blessed!
Thank you!
