The real problem with gambling isn't so much that you can gamble on the results of games. The real problem (for our brand of football in Europe as well) are the insane details, on which you can gamble, because THAT can lead to corruption. Most match-fixing scandals we had (down to 3rd league level) were based on absurd things like which team gets the first throw-in or which player gets the first booking for a foul. You can gamble on these things in Asia. And in the US I see a problem with the type of fantasy football, in which you can actually win prizes and money.

Mason was told to be ready on Friday. Words can be misunderstood. Every team does this. Same thing happened to Burrow last season with his wrist. Bill B did it all the time.
And we all knew CMC was hurt but he practiced so he's questionable even if mason is told your going to get bulk of snaps that dosnt mean CMC isn't playing maybe niners thought they could play him on third downs only depending on pain management, to just presume because mason said he's starting means no CMC at all is just Florio looking to cause fuss only people that know if CMC hoped to play are him niners and maybe doctors but if he wasn't going to play for sure why would he practice Friday? This is a big nothing burger

@@joeyyoho3670 no I do believe they don't tell truth all the time there not supposed to but that dosnt mean Kyle knew CMC was not going to play, tell me if they knew he wasn't going to play why would he bother practicing on Friday wouldn't you give the snaps to mason? I just think niners hoped he could play in a limited capacity.

I didn't even know nfl owners can have a 5% stake in a betting company. That's a major conflict of interest especially if some owner decides to tell their coach to bench some random guy to manipulate the odds of the game.
I can't fathom how owners can own part of gambling companies. How is that remotely legal, ethical, whatever.
Didn't the fantasy football guy have a draft kings sponsored segment during the pregame show talking about the odds and prop bets? The whole thing seems fishy to me. Nfl gets the sunday ticket thing thrown out and the betting stuff.... someone's making money on all this.
What about the junior staffer who works for the 49ers who conceivably could have bet all the CMC unders on Monday morning or called his college buddy to tell him to put money on the CMC unders.
I had Mcafferty and had to put him on my bench and drop my backup QB to sign Mason and ended up winning fantasy week 1 by .26 points 🤒
I play in 2 fantasy leagues. I have CMC in both, but thankfully I already had my matchup won in both leagues by Sunday night.

I don't understand. How does the team know he wasn't playing three days before? All Mason said is he is starting. That does not mean Christian isn't playing. All it means is Mason is playing the first offense down......I.E starting.
They knew, so what. It’s gambling it’s risky in nature.
Just because Mason is told he is going to "start" on Friday doesn't mean McCaffrey won't play. He might come into the game later. he just might not start the game.
Why wouldn’t CMC start if he was going to play? Even if it’s for one series.
Perhaps Florio was so tired that he missed it in the broadcast, but it was stated that they decided to sit McCaffrey because they wanted to make sure he was completely healthy for later as they felt that's when they need him more.

49ers did the gamblers a favor. if you bet on the 49ers thinking cmac was in, you won. if you bet on the jets knowing cmac was out, you would've lost money

@@marky22TVyep. Took Cmac w the 1 and Mason with the 145. Worst case would've been betting on McCaffery for props and then he plays but is VERY limited. Id rather have it this way. I dont want them to play him unless he's 100 percent at this point.
Don’t know why Florio always goes down the gambling route. Rest of the world been doing it forever. Player doesn’t play then the bet is void and I get a refund

You might've had an argument (albeit a shaky one) had not the 9ers given themselves away by giving Mason a talking to before his podium time in front of the media. He was visibly upset and he told us why he was upset. That made it abundantly clear what the 9ers did.

I’m a lifetime gambler and I agree. We all know football is fixed as well as the stock markets, however, I just try to find where exactly the fix is and go with it.
