Just want to point out that the trick starting at 8:22 is a trick by Jonathan Kamm. That’s his thought of card to pocket routine. I’ve been doing that trick for years and he published it in a rare series of lecture notes years ago. The handling here is different but that’s definitely his premise.
These kinds of videos are fun for me. If you want to help people who are just starting out, you could make a video that goes into more detail about how to start a conversation with the crowd and then start performing.
I saw a street magic kit which probably consists of nothing but a video for sale from Ellusionists that costs maybe between $25 and $30, and I thought of a much cheaper way to get into doing street magic. One would be to look at a few of Ash Marlow's card tricks and memorize two or three of them, and that would make me ready to go up to people and do some street magic. Plus I could carry my magic sword illusion, and I have plenty of quarters on me to do the French drop so that would make a pretty good performance of street magic without straining my budget.
take a deck of cards, shuffle it , set it down, now name a card, turn over the top card, is that your card? no? DAMM! one of these days that's gonna work !
