What happens to the other artist profile? Does it stay up on their own profile? Recently had someone feature my account on their own release and it added it to my own discographer which I didn't want.

I was actually able to track down the artist's contact info, and he said it was apparently the label's fault for selecting the wrong Medda during the upload process. Somehow they got it fixed.
@@medda4304 Ahhhhhh, I think it's a matter of reaching out to Spotify Support directly. Filling out a form vs. going through this system. The system believes the record is yours so search for it under your name and say...this isn't mines.

no they have to approve it first. Even if they approved it for the wrong person it’s just a surface level mistake. It looks likes those streams are theirs but Spotify pays out by matching ISRC numbers not artists profiles. Whoever holds that code will be the ones getting paid.

That's strange...is it your song? Is it someone else's song. I believe if you focus on the 2nd option when reaching out to spotify they can pull you off
U either have to change your artist name (something unique) or wait for your distributor to delete by you contacting them. For example I had the same issue and my name is Manuel Rodríguez, since my name is very common on Spotify i got to communicate to my distributor and change it to Manni Rodríguez. Which is a name nobody else has so yeah. Try to be creative with it 😭

You got a couple choices...pick a different name or reach out to Apple Music for Artists support and let them know of the mix up. Include links in your email
You can try, but it's not very likely. Always when doing a feature ask for final approval before release. If you don't like the song, ask that they don't put it out. This is typically why I have features send me their mostly completed song first.

It depends sometimes it just becomes a ghost profile

only way to deal with that is to contact support directly. they have to make sure your main profile is what is connected to the feature you did.

Usually your distributor will ask you to identify yourself as you're uploading. They will ask you to double check your artist ID.

you’re better off asking the artist to take the song down. once you give a feature to someone without owning the copyright that song belongs to them.
