This was great. I admired him ever since I was in my teens. I have a framed newspaper article in my home office about Borg winning his fifth Wimbledon title, and it's signed by him and McEnroe. And the real stuff. I was there when they signed it.
It is true. Fila not only catch his attention but the rest of us all. I remember a vilas vs borg match, they both were wearing fila. Each one had his particular own style design for each one. That match they change shirts a lot of times. It was revolutionary. Completely new and original design, extremely tasteful, elegant, beautiful design, incredible good taste. Every word Borg said is accurate and honesto. That was a particular era. Then It went down. But in 70 and 80 It was pura class and elegance. High fashion on court. Fila was not the only one. Lacoste made beautiful polos. But the best were the Italian designers; Sergio Tachini, Ellese made very fashionable, elegant clothes. But since then and Borg acknowlege it, quality has come down. Fila was the king. Nowadayd players are not match, not elegant, they look like scarecrows. Borg Vilas and Panata were the ephitome of elegance, style, high fashion class on court. They all wore Fila. I love and adore Fila from that era!
