Now, as far as the first song you played, and this may sound crazy, but I liked the Squier CV 50's the most because it captured the emotion of the song the best IMO. It sounded more sexy and romantic. I could feel and hear the emotion from you as the player. I feel the same about the Fender MIM to a lesser extent. NOW, THE CRAZY PART!!! I feel that the MIJ Squier is the better guitar. It has the clarity and articulation that the others don't. But for that first song, the Squier CV did it for me. Visually, using the same color with all three prevented a visual distraction when you switched guitars. Brilliant!!!
Your summary is in line with my feelings. Overall that CV50 is a terrific guitar, especially for the money. The MIJ is the most articulated however the most difficult to play due.to the lower, vintage frets.
A very nice demo of three very nice guitars. It was a real pleasure to hear a demo that wasn't all about distortion and volume. I do enjoy heavy, loud guitars, but this was so relaxing and soothing. For me, I'd pick the "Tiger" because that is in my price range of what I can afford. Needless to say, I do hope to upgrade my choice of guitar one day.
They will all pretty much sound the Same on the same rig, but to me it’s the feel that matters on these these strats, and id say the JV feels like a real vintage 50s strat. Then If the classic vibes is one of the 2019 id give it a second place cus those do feel pretty damn good. Better than the old classic vibes made in China.
They sound similar but not the same. The JV has a clarity in the 3 single positions which the other two lack, for instance. The CV is a Chinese one, an early one too. I haven't had the opportunity to compare it with the newer Indonesian ones, why do you think they are better?
I think the early Chinese one is better. I have the 60s Tele, quarter sawn maple neck, 2 piece alder body, rosewood board and flawless. The earlier CV in China were made with better material and full size pots. The new Indonesian ones dont have a full block in the tremolo and have dime size pots, the pickups are also different in the new one and their body materials have all been downgraded, they only use pine, NATO, poplar and no more rosewood on the necks.
Squier is usually associated to lower ends guitars, however when they first came out in 1982, they were built very well and they still keep the value after 38+ years. The recent Squier Classic Vibes are a great platform too.
Yeah Squier brand is at it's top since 1982. CNC being more precise than ever and every measurement calculated by modern and accurate computers results in better guitars than ever before. I have a USA 2011 FSR limited edition and I can’t gel with it, compared to a USA 78 I sold, it was a nightmare setting it up to play easy to. Very nice. ❤️
Thank you Sir!
Is that a chinese CV? Ive found many of them have flamed or quartersawn necks, i wonder if the new ones are the same way?
That is an early Chinese one. There were a bunch of them with crazy flamed maple. I don't think the recent ones have the same.....
Some have so much flames in the maple that you cannot even find in the best custom shops?
Nice tone! Just a curiosity Alberto. For vibrato do you just move the neck around or do you bend it a little?
Thanks, if I want to vibrate all the strings I slightly "bend" the neck forward and backwards by applying a little force. This is because I have a decked bridge therefore I cannot use the arm.
what song is the riff he does at minute 8:20?
That's Lenny by SRV. Thanks for watching my video 😀
The only one that actually sounded like a real vintage or closest to a real vintage Stratocaster....was the Classic Vibe..regrettably. ...Closed my eyes and the CV sounded more true to an original...just more Glassy and bell like..The Memphis lack a little...the JV was to smooth on the attack...My 2cents here the CV gets it..
That CV is terrific! Nice to have you back commenting in the channel Frank!
I have to agree on this. That CV is pure gold
Digan lo que digan es una gran guitarra!
Which one?!?!
Nice Chris Buck Cover ;)
Ahahah!!!!! Yes! He is a master! How did you spot that is beyond me!
@@LostPlectrum I'm currently learning that track😜
@Bilal Nachabeh now I see...!! good luck with that! It's an inspiring one!
Is there tabs for this? I would love to learn this too
@@jaybee6661 not for this one but actually I have few covers with TABS from Chris in my channel. Included the famous Solo challenge he has done with Mr Paul Davids. Check them out!!!
note: i also have mia 2013. standard with cs50s..do you think its comparable to jv tone...
I personally love those American Standard with Fat 50. I own one and I find those pickups excellent. I actually prefer them to the JV. It was my number one Strat until I bought a wonderful AVRI 65 Strat.
@@LostPlectrum thank you
You are welcome 🤗
Nice! like+subbed! :-)
Thank you very much and stay tuned!!!
I think the China Classic Vibe 50's sounded best
Thanks for your comment, it sounds great indeed!
The Mexican is actually a vintera modified 50s strat just putting that here I believe
Nope, it is a Classic Player Stratocaster, those they claim were designed by the custom shop. It's also written in the neck plate. It is NOT a vintera modified, those are more recent.
Nope, those classic players were produced earlier than the vintera modified, they are different guitars.
CLASSIC VIBE HAS PINE BODY AND IT IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER CLASSIC VIBES ,BUT BETWEEN THE THREE GUITARS IN YOUR VIDEO THE MEXICAN IS SUPERIOR OF COURSE
My Classic Vibe 2010 is an alder body one!
Can I have the tiger ? If ever you don’t want it I will take it just say the word .
I gave it away!!!!!
@@LostPlectrum Aw man ! I’m too late it seems . But that was generous my friend , that’s cool. Now if you don’t want any other I’m here . Looking for a good strat but don’t have any funds at the moment . Il take what I can get lol . Thanks for responding . Subscribing to your channel right now .
@@TheEvdavis7 thank you!!!
@@LostPlectrum no problem .
I have an 1983 JV so I'm a bit prejudiced.
Those JVs are nice guitars indeed... I have both JV and Tokai, they are different but both great.
3 nice guitar. But in this case japan wins.
That's a lovely Strat indeed!
1:18
Yeah that's where the music starts!
Very nice demonstration, and nice bluesy playing! Check out my latest when ya get a chance!
Ha! I have just seen and listened the 🌊 blue Jackson/charvel! Great!!!
@@LostPlectrum Thanks! I appreciate it!!!
@@GuitarMan3YT mee too, stay tuned!!! I am working on a Strat to the cubic power video......!!!!
JV is bestial
Arghhhhh I have sold it!!!!
Turn the backing track off and play the guitar. Can’t tell the difference at all. Maybe use the other strings on the guitar
Your suggestions are already incorporated in the video if you fully watch it.
Joe I guess you cannot play guitar like this.
Autentico sonido de David Gilmore.
Do you think the sound and the tone is close to David's?
@@LostPlectrum Yes.
I'll take it as a huge compliment! Thanks and take care!
@@LostPlectrum Thanks.👍✌️
