Is it normal to feel that you didn't and/or cut enough in certain areas after you listen to your mix without SoundID? Let's say that you're only using SoundID as an insert plugin (not in your whole system) and you're using a HD 650 and because you're using SoundID the HD 650 frequency response is now flat. After you export your mix and listen to it without the frequency correction done by SoundID, is it normal to feel that you didn't cut and/or boost enough in any giving frequency range? Or is that sensation attributed to the fact that you're being fooled by the HD 650 natural frequency response since SoundID is not in use after exporting your mix?

      Hello,
      Thank you for the question!
It could be the fact that the FLAT profile takes a while to get used to. This is something that will take some time if you are not familiar with such a frequency response. However, when you are used to it, then the final master with SoundID Reference will sound great on other sound Systems.
Keep note, that the plugin has to be fully disabled or hard bypassed when exporting or bouncing the mix as we don't want your personal calibration to be imprinted in the mix.
      I hope this helps!

@@SoundIDCreators I don't think my question was answered. Maybe I didn't formulate it properly. Using Soundid as an insert plugin (not the stand-alone app) and having a reference track when mixing. I mix the best I can. When I listen to my mix with SoundID it sounds good in comparison to my reference track. But as soon as I bypass Soundid it seem that I didn't EQ properly. So, in that case, I'm asking if the difference that I perceive is the natural color or frequency response that all headphones have naturally?

      Hello,
      Thank you for reaching out!
When listening to the reference track, it should also be done with SoundID Reference enabled. Since the coloration is coming from the speakers or headphones themselves, the original reference track should also be listened to through calibrated speakers and only then match the track to the reference.
This will eliminate any sound coloration that is produced by the headphones naturally.
      I hope this helps!

Hi, it looks like we haven't had a chance to calibrate this model for the average profile yet, but we will likely get to it at some point in the future. We have taken note of your model request :)
In the meantime, if you still wish to pursue calibration on your model, this is possible with the individual headphone calibration service; more details here:
