@@Kattywagon29 In this case its not directly wotc's fault. This is the fault of walmart, target and the contract company. Wotc only fault is not putting their foot down with walmart and target to end the practice.

I saw these at Walmart yesterday. No joke, these were priced $53.92 CAD without tax. You'd have to be more than a sucker to buy this at that price.
Imagine the savings when they are on clearance for 50% off!
Or a parent that has no idea because they are buying for their kid's Christmas present. This is what happens when you Capitalism.
They were 29.99 at my wal-mart.
To be fair, you'd have to be a sucker to buy almost any MTG product at Walmart as their prices are crazy. The only thing that they have going for them is that they price-match, which I did end up using to buy some Jumpstart Boosters as Gamestop had them for ~$7 (But only had 1).
Also, I have never seen any MTG product go on sale at Walmart. Only Pokemon.
Another spoiler alert: CAD is Canadian dollars. No Walmart in Canada is selling these for 29.99. I popped into Wally World on Black Friday thinking I might make off like a bandit on some Magic. The selection was piled... as in, a container with a pile of random MTG product sitting on a shelf. No prices. I sorted out a few items to bring to a price check scanner. A single collector booster of Core 2021 was $47.xx CAD. Zendikar Commander deck $37.xx. Somewhere along supply chain, the wheels have fallen off the wagon up here. The good news is for the LGS, who can offer better pricing than poor old Walmart.
oh my gosh i almost bought this because I thought it was the mystery boosters. Like I never saw them in person and I think they were going to do another print run so I just assumed they did like a bundle box with this. This is extra scummy because I am positive some bought it thinking it was the real mystery booster product

It’s also important to remember these aren’t official WotC products. This is the usual MJ Holdings slurry.
They couldn't use the Magic the Gathering trademark without explicit consent and licensing fees. WotC is getting money from this product, even if it's not directly selling them.
@@ecoKady I can pull it out of my recycling but the one I had I looked for any WotC trademark and didn’t see any. I’m pretty sure with these repacks they intentionally don’t use the usual branding or labels to avoid that

Buying this product is like paying 2 life to play a tapped shock land.
I really liked the more aggressive tone in this one, considering how bad the actual product is.
Saw one of these in Walmart the other day, didn't even look at the back just saw it on the shelf, and my very first thought was "I wonder when prof is gonna eviscerate that to the bloodthirsty cheers of an abused consumer base."
When I saw this product at Wal-Mart I was a little impressed by the packaging. I flipped over the box, read the fine print and saw that Wizards wasn’t putting their imprimatur on it. I put the box back and eagerly waited for this video. You didn’t disappoint!

I bought one at Walmart and got 2 shocklands and a foil uro from a collection pack .. I was extremely lucky I’m sure .

Ravnica allegiance had a breeding pool .. guilds had a sacred foundry .. the other packs were core 19 and rivals ... that was probably a one in 100000 box . I bought it and not another one lol . Pulling that Uro was just a lucky as hell fluke

While I feel the ability to sell damaged goods can be a good thing, this is the exact OPPOSITE of how it should be done! Damaged product should be sold for less than the MSRP, not MORE! I feel like these would be better if they were $10, MAYBE $15, but they're not, and it is appalling.

I appreciate how you still include boxes that contain value slightly over what you paid for it. In my eyes, it really helps to solidify your trustworthiness. I feel like so many people would’ve been tempted to just not include the second box because it doesn’t perfectly line up with the point you’re making, yet you included it and explained why it still doesn’t make these worth it at all. Thank you for your transparency, it really does reaffirm the trust I have for you when watching your videos. WOTC could take a page out of your book...

They're getting trickier with the box, saw the thumbnail and my mind went to Mystery Boosters
"You could take the boat, or you could take the "Mystery box".
"Oh, a Mystery box, that could be anything, even a boat, you know how much we wanted one of those! We will take the box!"
I bought one of these, because I just couldn't resist 😅. MUCH to my amazement, every pack I pulled is in standard. Not only that, 2 of them were collectors boosters; one from Theros Beyond Death and one from Throne of Eldraine. Even more shocking, pulled a foil Dryad of the Ilysian Grove. There were a couple others I can't recall, but in total I made back more than my $30. I know I really dodged a bullet, but hey it was still fun :)
