Here is a fun fact you'll be amazed about this particular performance of Morissette's Rise Up on the WISH 107 5 BUS. This performance was published on You Tube on Nov. 20, 2017. In just 4 short months to the date, it already garnered 14 Million views on You Tube. You were informed correctly, Morissette produced more views than the original artist's ( Andra Day ) version. You Tube took it off the air on March 21, 2018.

it's to do with copywright payments, covers don't have to pay until they reach 10 million views and wish didn't want to pay so it got taken down and reuploaded to get around that

I was not impressed by that or I've been spoiled by Charice who has done it better than anyone else. Other than that, Mori is great at everything else.
Also, the original video was taken down because it got more views than the official music video of that song. They strike the WishBus Channel with a Copyright Infringement..

@@eceoswehg.5671 do we know this for a fact or merely a speculation? from what i understand, the artist who wants to do a cover of the original must pay a certain amount to the original artist based on the number of copies the cover is expected to reach in sales, or in this case the number of views. If the sales exceed the upfront payment, the one who does the cover must pay royalties again to the original artist, or else the video can be taken down if requested by the original owner having the rights to do so. let me know if this is not correct.

There are so many songs that Mori does that have me in tears everytime and I am not an emotional person. Shes been having this affect on me since the first time i heard her sing on the voice Phillipines. Shes just a special kind of vocalist
You should had reacted on her acappela version with 3rd Avenue on her channel. This has been reuploaded so many times that the audio sucks. Her acapella version is a level up to the Wish Bus version.

I don't know if the original singer really asked the video of Morissette to be removed or UA-cam removed it due to standard copyright protocols.
What I do know is the fact right before the time Morissette's Rise Up was taken down, it was getting more hits and likes than the official video. Also, lots of people were saying they like her cover more than the original.
For the longest time, videos of Morissette's Rise Up were exclusively being targeted for deletion even as countless covers of the same song by other artists remain untouched and available. So weird. Another thing I'm sure of is that, Morissette's cover got many people curious about the original and viewed it, adding countless views to the said video.
You might have noticed that the video you reacted doesn't have a lot of views. That's because Morissette fans are restraining themselves from watching the video to avoid it getting noticed and targeted for deletion too.
Avid fans like me just watch it repeatedly on reaction channels to protect the remaining videos of Morissette's cover so that it would always remain available to reactors like you.
Anyway, I read somewhere finally commented about Morissette's cover and complimented it.
