I still can't get over that Hubbard came up with a needlessly complicated version of PTSD. I mean...that's basically what all this "engram" gobbledygook is
Alright. 15 minutes in and I had to stop it, because I never thought I'd see this again. Long story short no one asked for- YEARS ago in my twenties, a buddy and I got someone's scientology starter kit (I guess?) delivered to our apartment by accident. This was the tape inside, along with a workbook, and relatively little other supplemental material. We must've watched and passed it around so many times, it got lost, never to be seen again. But I never forgot all the "A is for apple, is for worm, is for car crash, equals you're stupid" stuff (paraphrasing badly, as like I said, it's been years, and as I realized what I had finally stumbled upon again, I came down here in elation to tell my awful story.) i will be forever grateful to you, a person I'll never meet, for uploading this, so I could somehow reconnect with that very fond memory. A hearty and sincere thanks- now I'm gonna go finish this beautiful mess.
@@DrRIPVHS Yeah, but keep it between you and me, right? Don't wanna be associated with them in any way, shape or form. Thanks for the upload, and the reply, though- and have a good one.
@@DrRIPVHSwhy would they scream “what are your crimes” I’m new to all this and love learning it since it teaches how to handle yourself a little more. I do know from reading the book Lexicon devil: fast and short times of Darby crash’s and the germs that people in early Scientology would try to create sentences that didn’t really make sense like “I know you want to get shot but we got no liquor” type of thing.
@@Crash.7434 The "what are your crimes?" comes from the Church of Scientology's notorious way of harassing people who leave their church, and especially how they treat people who speak against them. They're sort of famous for staking out the house of "Suppressive Persons" (or enemies of the church) and shout things like "What are your crimes?" to insinuate that the people who are speaking out or against Scientology are doing so because of their mental or psychological "crimes" they haven't dealt with. I've been fascinated with it for a couple decades now. I would highly recommend the series "Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath." It's an incredible look into the organization by former members.
@@DrRIPVHS thank you for explaining that to me. Like I said I’m really new to All this and just like to learn new things so I’ll definitely check that out.
Interesting, I'm sure theirs some positives in this as I recently heard a radio program who talked about a technique of handling PTSD which had similarities to these techniques. Wonder if anybody has tried Dianetics and if so with what results
This is a serious e technology. If you have not studied it throughly you would not have knowledge of its science. This is a very old video. It is still the truth in explains in simpler terms. This is for those who have had lot of trauma lots disappointments and out of communication with his environment. It is however good for anyone to try so to see for oneself how one’s mind stores all data that you should be able to recall.
I feel like dianetics gets overlooked because the church of scientology is fucking evil but the idea of emotional decharging of traumatic memories sounds so wonderful
Oh for sure. I've never read it, but I'm sure there's some decent boilerplate psychological tools they'll give you that aren't necessarily fully based in scientology that you'd find in other areas of mental wellness.
@@beckigreen You think you are right, because of all that stuff you "heard" since I know you were never involved with the church, so you have no clue what you are talking about.
@@DrRIPVHS There are clearly some big problems in it though, like promising that following the steps will make trauma disappear like nothing happened. They're clearly dangling the carrot of an ideal life through buying Hubbard's courses, and that'll do more harm than good
this goes from: "I was able to keep a stable marriage" to "I CAN FEEL MY KNEES FOR THIS FIRST TIME SINCE I WAS 8" in less than a minute.

Your comment is literally the only positive thing Scientology has ever been involved with.
