Maybe this is similar to how people will say body soul and spirit? But the thought about the mind being differentiated from the body is that the brain is part of the body so therefore mind is more than brain.
@SirPhilosopher you raise an interesting point. What separates the body and the mind is the refers to a physical ability, condition and health. While mind refers to our intellect, mental cognitive ability and our mental health. Spirit is spiritual health etc.
