I've been trying to identify and quantify what I and others love about these videos. I think there's a type of person who wants to see inside places that they normally wouldn't be able. A curiosity. When we see a building or a massive vehicle we would love to look around inside. Most tours of things would walk around, panning the camera about and give you some information. Nick goes into a level of detail we don't see... hardly anywhere. "Oh... what's in there?" you think and Nick is already showing you and telling you what it's about and why. Not everybody is like this. But I suspect a lot of us are. It truly takes all kinds of people.
Surprisingly well laid out. With an interior many 60 foot "fuel burners" couldn't muster, the boat even looks comfortable. It's like everyone is saying, when it comes to knowing boats, come to Aquaholic first. From Super Yachts to Runabouts, there's only ONE - Aquaholic.
Me too. Being Afloat in a boat is great, but there's something a bit magical about Sailboats, and I think I have the ownership of one more in me, before I pop my clogs or go motorboat. It may turn into two boats, if getting a Construction slot available becomes a bit of a problem, so a recent ish 38ft to 43/4ft secondhand, may tide me over while waiting for Customisations due to disabilities to be built in to a new boat to live on. Must admit, I'm liking these Bavarias more than I expected. Best Wishes and Fair Winds. Bob. 👍⛵️

I basically wake up and watch this with my morning coffee. Ideally i would cut that wrao around couch down 2-3 feet and add it to bathroom to get a much bigger area with separate shower stall.
Agreed, you could also get an en-suite in the owners cabin as well instead of the second big wardrobe; and it's a really huge dining table when folded out when you think that there's only accommodation for six people.
Bonjour Jacques...I hope you are behaving yourself. LOL Great walkthrough, Nick...that Bavaria is a whole lot of boat for a great price. I have heard it called "the new benchmark" in its class. My one big issue just looking at the design is that there are a bit too many sharp edges on the furnishings inside the cabin...I know that clods like myself would be constantly bashing into them in any kinds of seas. As I have seen on other videos about this boat, hopefully Bavaria will try to address the issue as they tinker with the design. 🖖✌
Thirsty folk! Plenty of H²O. Amazing boat. Love the light wood, lots of space for a family, great galley. Hard to argue with the price. This would be perfect for a cruise around the world. Looks easy to navigate with low(er) experience. Cheers!
Nick, you know, I really like sailboats, there is something alluring about having the ability to go around the world with the wind, Don't get me wrong, I would much rather be on board a Megellano 53 or hell if dreaming is free, why not the Rossinavi 50m lol. Back here on planet Whack a Mole, a sail boat would be the best option for me , and I know that thanks to Aquaholic videos showing me all the ropes about all the boats! - ON a side note... Hello Jaq..we meet again. I know I have not been very nice to you in the past, the thing is, I watched you in all those videos, with your smug soft brown leather and your pretentious perfect zippers smug as a rug, carefully propped up upon the very best seats on the yacht, "How Dare You Place Me On The Floor! "said his royal brown majesty!! Look at you...riding to work in your fathers luxurious Mercedes, Traveling the world only gifting half second side glances to the common people like me from your air tight tinted windows and heated leather seats...and all this time I think to myself, wow..that could be me...

Awful quality control on hanse+bavaria. Plan not to leave the shipyard for at least a month once its been handed over. A three digit list of defects is the norm.
Fantastic, good looking boat. She looks fabulous. Insurance, Marina charges, etc. add up a great deal. I believe the engines used to be made by Volvo. Note anymore.
I don't know if I want a sailing yacht, but maybe a motor-sailor, would be nice. I don't know if that would get you the best of both or the worst of both though.
Well I wait daily for my Aquaholic fix and they never disappoint. Massive dining and social area inside this yacht. I liked the fact that there was 3 double beds and a good shower. Does anyone know the speed of this yacht using just the Yanmar engine?
Really nice boat! Just a bit lacking in toilet space for potentially 6 people, I'd prefer a reconfiguration with an owners heads, but I guess there has to be compromise on that size of boat.
I had the same thought. Interesting choices made here. Not for everyone perhaps. In fairness this is more fair weather sailing in the bay, than lets cross an ocean next week. Maybe it makes sense for that.
And I thought the point of a boat were to keep the water outside of the hull, but these mad lads even have water in their closet... 6:39 Jokes aside, the boat seems fairly decent to be fair, lots of room onboard, a nice common area indoors. And no silliness of having extra doors to the loo for the sake of making it an "on suite." Though, would be interesting to see a tour on some of the really large sailing yachts to see what those sorts of boats are about.
Nice looking boat. The only annoying thing with these types is if your 6' or taller. While sitting at the chart table you've one leg that's always angled out because you cannot set your foot flat on the floor at shoulders width, the hull and floor won't allow it. Some will scream "...sit at the table..." That's not the point and it's not always feasible to sit at the dinning room table.
Things I remember about sailing in the Solent are how great it is when the sun shines and how awful when it's raining, the winds up and there's a dreadful chop. In these tours anyways wonder where the soaking wet oilies go as the lockers look fine for your dinner jacket but not sure how they'd cope with salt water dripping in them. Never understood why but every time I went on a course there were gales and ferry cancellations.
I'd absolutely love to join you on a Marina tour! Otherwise love the boat especially that welcoming deck wood as you get aboard. Looks very comfortable 👌

I love your tour work. You present things in a very "user interest" manner. I have been looking for a 'Galeon 800' tour. Have you plans to do a walk through on that unit? The Galeon 640 was an amazing tour and a very cool boat. But the 800 has caught my interest and the Corporate webpage is useless. Thank you for doing what you do on this platform.

As our guide said, the sharp corners on these trendy angular interiors are INSANE if you’re actually going to take the darn thing offshore. Ya think maybe the old timers with their classic rounded nautical designs knew something ? A whole new category of “fashion victim” is about to be born !

Certainly a nice boat, and while I guess it's debatable whether £160k is 'affordable', for a 3-cabin it's a good price. I just didn't find it as clever as some of the other boats in this same realm you have on your channel. For example, it's nice that the table folds out, but if they had just made it 2" shorter they wouldn't have had that weird fold-up bit. If that made the distance between the end seat and the table too long, then they could have added 2" to the owner's cabin. It seems like they didn't coordinate between the hull and interior designers. Just my take.
I sailed a lot of Bavarias in the 90s and 00s and the one thing they all had in common was how badly finished they were. This one looks an entirely different class. Looks good although like a previous comment noted the single very small heads does look mean and poorly thought out.
A nice sized boat but there's a number of changes I'd make particulalrly for things like more cold storage. I didn't see what size deck storage there was for sails, parts etc. I think I'd also drop one of those rear cabins for a more useful utility/workshop area. Should be able to use one of the midship couches as a sea berth while underway by simply adding a lee cloth if needed. BTW Nick what were those things on the forward bulkhead? Looked like some kind of "art" but was wondering if they were something else.
Oh, you forgot to mention that engine does not use outside water for cooling, but probably has a heat-exchanger, or a hull radiator, and it's cooled by automotive coolant. So never any crap in your pipes!! Which is nice.
@@AQUAHOLIC Ah ok thanks. So it uses a heat exchanger, rather than running outside water through the engine, as I said in my first post. That is quite an improvement, and worth mentioning, in my humble opinion. The best way of course, is how some ships run some kind of... "radiator", which I suppose you can compare to a waterblock you use on a CPU, except it's connected to the hull under the waterline, so no outside water ever enters the boat. And that is basically the three different engine cooling solutions available. 1. Only outside water, sucking everything outside through your engine, which can be a pain. 2. Heat exchanger, which ensures everything in the engine only ever comes in contact with nice clean coolant, and the coolant then transfers the heat via the heat exchanger to the outside water. 3. And the you have the system I explained first, where no outside water ever needs to enter the engine system. So this boat uses the second system, which I pointed out. Just because it is better than standard.
That's a lot of water! 🤣🤣 I kid. Very nice boat for the money, though. Very beamy too, to have two double bed berths aft. This dark wood finish is rather classy too, if not for the effect that it makes everything feel a little smaller than it really is.
That seems good value for money. I wouldn't mind sailing round the med in that. You could probably cross the Atlantic in that too. The only thing that would be a problem for me is the backs of the seats are too upright so i wouldn't find them comfortable at all due to back problem.

There is an option to lose a closet in the master berth and install another head/heads/loo/toilet. I’ve seen this exact boat twice today 😂.

The owner changed since then - they‘re building fairly well built boats these days, I think.

That is what they are. If you look carefully, you'll see that they're 'cut outs' from the word 'BAVARIA'

2. Heat exchanger, which ensures everything in the engine only ever comes in contact with nice clean coolant, and the coolant then transfers the heat via the heat exchanger to the outside water.
3. And the you have the system I explained first, where no outside water ever needs to enter the engine system.
So this boat uses the second system, which I pointed out. Just because it is better than standard.

I kid. Very nice boat for the money, though. Very beamy too, to have two double bed berths aft. This dark wood finish is rather classy too, if not for the effect that it makes everything feel a little smaller than it really is.
That seems good value for money. I wouldn't mind sailing round the med in that. You could probably cross the Atlantic in that too.
The only thing that would be a problem for me is the backs of the seats are too upright so i wouldn't find them comfortable at all due to back problem.
