  • This video details my progress in week number 24 of my #Carnivore journey. It also lays out my plans for the final 2 weeks of my 6-month journey, namely transitioning to the Lion Diet to see if the final remnants of my #inflamation and #skin issue will improve by only eating #ruminant #meat, with salt and water.
As a #type2diabetic, my goal has been to use the Carnivore diet/lifestyle to reverse my Type 2 #diabetes. This means my primary goal is not #weightloss (although I'd like to get down to 155 lbs) but lowering and stabilizing my #bloodsugar with an #A1C target of 5.5, reaching a "normal" #triglycerides and #cholesterol level, and increasing my #HDL cholesterol so that I can live a drug-free lifestyle as I move forward toward #retirement where #food replaces my #pharmaceuticals and helps my body stave off the #ailments that often come with old age.
I have added some approximate time codes below if you want to skip any sections.
    Current Weight: 00:31
    Avg. Fasting Blood Glucose 00:51
    A1c: 01:13

Not sure if I mentioned this to you, but I lost over 90 pounds since last January 2023, then came the infamous stall, which on either plan carnivore or low carb it always seems to happen and usually for quite a while (so long as you don’t cheat or start adding things in) eventually, your body will turn on the lose weight and heal mechanism again, so don’t get discouraged. Another guy that I liked to follow even though he’s not on UA-cam anymore is butter Bob Briggs he is a hoot, his UA-cam videos are just as good as they were a few years ago, he decided to stop filming after getting too much grief from people who did not know what they were talking about. But if you watch his life story on one of the videos he made you’ll see that he was at over 300 pounds , couldn’t seat in normal seats like a theater ,and one to be around to see is grandkids live. OK, cheers!

@Beachbumbob Congrats on the weight loss and on traversing your Carnivore journey. I am down just shy of 31 lbs in 5.5 months. For me the journey is more about controlling my blood sugar and reversing my diabetes than it is about weight loss so low carb is the lifestyle for me. So far I have gotten my A1c down from 8.5 at the start of Carnivore to 5.9 with a goal of 5.5. Right now its Carnivore and this week and next I am doing the Lion Diet (ruminant meat, salt and water only). As I mentioned in the video, after that, which will mark the 6-month mark for me on Carnivore I will reassess whether to stay strictly Carnivore or move to a Ketovore/Paleo low-carb lifestyle (which for me means staying under 20 carbs per day (not net carbs, real carbs). Back in 2018-2019, I was on Paleo and things were going along swimmingly until the pandemic and then I was stuck at home with junk food and everything went out the window. Trying to get the groove back. Thanks for following and commenting. Much appreciated.

@@retirementramblings like you same thing for me. Diagnosed prediabetes with a just above normal A1c. That’s when I learned it a few lose weight that seems to help your blood sugars. Go back to normal. So that’s what I did and start with Dr. Eric Westman. I liked him very much. I found carnivore on the Joe Rogan podcast where he interviewed professor Jordan Peterson and Dr. Sean Baker along with his results of going on the carnivore diet for a month. OK again keep up the great work. Hope things work out for you. The main thing is not to go back to the American standard diet.

Not sure if you’ve been viewing his channel “No Carb Life” has great real guest with the real stories of healing on the carnivore or lion diet and what’s good about the host is that he lets people talk without any interruptions.
