My work really seemed to soar once I zoned in my my love for children's illustration could be combined with my love for education. Today, I make fun educational art for cool kids and their even cooler adults!

A lot of the stuff Deepti makes like ceramics and stuff sounds more like crafts than arts. I say this as a craft lover. Sculptures look great in galleries but in my house I like something that's taking up space to actually do something!
One of my biggest issues is not finding my audience. It's so discouraging. Do I paint and find the people, or base it off of who purchased my work in the past? I've done well at art and craft shows but not good online. So discouraging. I have the talent and skill.
It's so discouraging sometimes, because selling art online can feel a lot like throwing work into a void. At art shows, you know that a certain number of people are guaranteed to see your work, and there's a much higher chance they'll interact with you as well. Online, however, it's waaaaay more work to even find an audience to begin with!
