You should look into the Nerdy Gurdy! My hurdy gurdy teacher has a young daughter that plays the hurdy gurdy as well, and she has one of those. It’s small, so kid’s hands friendly, individual components are relatively easily replaced, so you don’t get a heart attack every time they manage to do something weird with it, and it’s a really solid gurdy for the price!

My friend got to try out the prototype for the new design (she’s in the same class as the guy who designs the Nerdy Gurdies) and she said it’s a very solid and fun instrument, and my hurdy gurdy teacher worked with the guy to improve the wheel so it’s perfectly circular and gives a really good sound. Patty is relative new, I would say, never heard of her before either, but I like ger style! Shame she had a few weak seconds in the ESC live performance and she may have been rated higher, but some said the music was far to loud to manage (probably tuned in for Hard Rock.. ) Good luck to her, anyway!

I love, love, LOVE this song! I just stumbled across it yesterday. Had never heard of Patty or Fiddlers Green before and am now plowing through all the vids I can find on UA-cam. But I have yet to find one I like as much as this one - it’s just so much fun!
Patty is relative new, I would say, never heard of her before either, but I like ger style! Shame she had a few weak seconds in the ESC live performance and she may have been rated higher, but some said the music was far to loud to manage (probably tuned in for Hard Rock.. ) Good luck to her, anyway!

I really thought this was an Irish band, their music and accents are perfect! Only later did I find out that it's a German band.
Germans learn in school to get rid of our accents some do even special classes we can choose between english american irish soemtimes Australian and scotish

@@maksphoto78 maybe some dont go this far but schools push for getting ride of accent because of english speaking media If you have german accent its quiet often that a teacher call you out or even other students tell you to get ride of your hard german accent. Because its ugly. The younger generations heavily effect by this push
