Psych wards in media portrayal tend to be a bit over the top w like, what leads you to being in one and what happens there. Iydm sharing a bit, what was was it actually like and why were you there? Ofc don't wanna make you uncomfortable or anything you don't have to answer if you don't wanna, just wanna better understand how that actually works
@@armourvgyt It really depends on the ward and the severity of the problem. Sometimes movies can be an understatement in those cases. Each person's intake is different. Luckily they're getting rid of mental hospitals (which are different from wards) which were way way worse than wards. Those are what usually gets portrayed in movies and such are the hospitals not the wards. Wards still aren't good though. Many high risk patients are forced to wear little to nothing (easily breakable basically see though paper clothes). It really depends on the location however.
@@armourvgytyou werent asking me but im a 12 year old whose been warded 7 times :)) i wear paper garments, not allowed to touch the books, no pencils, babyproofed corners, and ive been booty juiced over 15 times :,) its terrible and super cold. the nurses at the hospital i go to usually arent trained in psychiatry they’re just regular nurses, and theyre very harsh. psych wards are specifically for emergency regulation, not just for feeling depressed iykwim.

This video is great, but the self reflecting it made me do makes me feel a bit sorry for myself lol
they gave me a really nice lady because i was scared of men but after that got a lot worse lol and they striped me down to see cuts or whatever and i felt weird for like 3 days after that but the other kids were really nice to me (mostly lol)
