Hello there just a couple tips I’ve picked up after years of riding , The cable on most linear pull style brakes should have a shoulder stop allowing you to release the brake cable pressure without releasing the cable from the stop bolt or nut. Also while white lithium grease is certainly less messy it doesn’t have the heat or water wash out resistance of a good quality boat trailer grease. I’ve found that it tends to last longer without the hardening effect that white lithium grease can sometimes get. However I know that often times it comes down to what is available and what a person is comfortable using thanks for the video it helped me find the problem in my sons bike, I have actually been approaching the problem from a different angle but you helped me see it for what is was thanks and happy biking 😀
You can undo the brakes just by squeezing the brake arms together and pulling the curved hose out of the black holder. There should be a slot on top which the cable can pass through.
My issue was simply kinked chain links. Made a popping sound. Put the bad links I had a few, onto a chain breaker. I then just applied some force back and forth on the link pins, not driving out the pins. Applied some fresh lube to the links, tested the up and down motion on each link with my fingers and just like that a functioning link once again! The inner and and outter link plates were not bent so the links were good. Hope this helps some!
What will happen if i dont? Will i fall off? Will it seize up? Its cracking/popping only at a certain point. Will the sprocket break free and cause me to fall? Because of no tension?
hi, I have the same problem, but the bmx is brand new, I've done 5km max, and it's a month old, I also changed the chain with a new cult halflink, and the front sprocket of the odyssey 28t, but the grinding noise does it anyway
Please tell me I hear the same sound in my Rockrider st20 bike after giving it for service in decathlon. Tell me that can this problem go away on its own in few days if I lubricate real wheel with machine oil.
Still likely the same problem, the worn bearings are still rolling either way. And under more load nearer the wheel when seated hence the louder clicking.
Same here on my Se big flyer hit me on on Instagram @third eye survivor I need to ask you some question about the bike and maybe we can see if we can help each other from there my Instagram is That_kidd._07 and my Snapchat is dontfux_witme

Thank you for keeping it fast and simple

I've used white lithium grease but I found it not resisting water as much as the park tool PPL-1.
everyone finds video to how make hub louder
you: how to remove annoying clicking sound
His hub is loud tho the noise he was on about was a problem
The freewheel is what is making that noise. That’s the sound of metal pawls striking down over and over
@@B_COOPER ikr
You see that quick release on your brake line? Use it.

Did you get new ball bearings or just used the old ones
New
@@BenjaminenKnight what size?
Are the crank ball bearings bigger? If so what size would those be?
@@MistaSCARY sorry I don’t remember but I’m sure it varies from bike to bike
Guy is cool vibes

Please tell me If i keep driving my cycle in this noise then is it okay or will it damage the bike in future?
Beautiful video
I will hear clicking noise on reverse pedelling and slopes without pedaling .
On pedling didn't hear that noise .
Can I change the bearings
Same problem as well
Cool.same sound on on my beech cruiser thanks
Great video, thank you very much!!
What if I take the barings out
The bike wheel won’t turn
You go 7 times faster but direction of travel is reversed.
What size bearings do I need to buy
I had to look up on n google for 24” wheels and forgot sorry
Thank you!
What kind of bike is that?
rare mongoose mountain bike converted into BMX
When i dont pedal it with out sitting on it i will hear small clicking and when i sit on it i will hear loud clicking =((
same

Thanks!
The clicking noise only happens when I’m pedaling and the chain is moving. When the wheel is spinning I don’t hear it, is it still the bearings?
could be a bent sprocket
or maybe the chain is too tight

Could be the right problem but in the wrong place. Sounds like your pedals need lubricating.
Would have been nice to hear the problem first. See if it sounds like my problem.
The beginning of the video you can hear.
@@BenjaminenKnight Oh ok. Probably tired when I posted that. LOL
Amazing video
