This last run of incursions in Star Trek Fleet Command once again provided us with good PVP crews, bad PVP crews, and the rare unicorns of players beating higher levels in fights that most would assume were instant losses! How do these wins happen even if the other player has a good crew? We discuss!

Something that would be a convenient addition to stfc would be the ability to re assign your bridge officers from the rest of the on-board crew. You could then stack multiple crew, specific to what you're trying to accomplish and what you may encounter. That way you wouldn't have to run back to your base just to change up your bridge.
Don’t expect it to be a free option if it comes to fruition.
For the right price plus a kidney and your 3rd born child it can be yours! Plus applicable taxes.
I just wish there was more time to adjust crews. Watching open systems for the incursions I can bring a crew I think would be good against the ships there. But by the time I get there, that ship is gone and now the crew is just not crewed for anything left.
This is one of my main concerns about pvp in game. The in-game menus are SO time consuming.

I saw quite a few Spock’s on G4 ships during incursions as well as Jellies in pvp.
Need to be able to adjust crews whilst out of station. Then you can juggle bridge and below decks, and therefore consider different enemies during a battle. In real life, people can move around.

Hi, I hear you talking about multipliers, when using combinations of crew members. I am absolutely clueless how that math works. Could you, or anyone else, point me in the right direction?

I tell people in my Alliance all the time, the crew that you use depends on the situation. There are tactics for just about every scenario. I still use Burn officers on a Realta to frustrate higher levels. It works.

Rev, I have a question. Are you sure that in all the cases you've presented, both combatant ships have started with full hull health? For example: you've presented a level 45 Enterprise winning over a level 25 Pilum which had almost five times the strength of Enterprise. But are sure that the Pilum entered this battle with full hull health? What about shield health? During the Incursion Event players kept hitting other players without waiting for shields to regenerate after the previous battle.
First pair were both full, second pair looks like the Enterprise had like 99% hull, 3rd one Pilum had some a small amount of hull damage (probably full shield, but Yuki makes it impossible to tell), next pair were both full.
You're basically looking for the colours or the shield and hull health bars. Blue/white is remaining, red is removed by damage, black is reduced, and to make it confusing blue/white also includes restored health. So if you have hull health bars with black then you know that some damage was there at the start of combat (or was removed by an ability, but that's pretty rare for hull).
I have Archer phlox and trip tucker they are pvp could they be good at pvp? And what ship would they be best at an explorer because thave been great for me on the NX 01 taking out Xindi

It was a bet if I could beat him (pretty sure he had seen my ship) and I was flying in blind, but assumed either pilum or Newton. Turns out an E was his biggest ship (at 49 😱). Great dude from s61.
Besides the higher researches, it proves your point that crewing for the opponent is the biggest difference maker.
Rev, love your videos, but I've noticed a lot of your videos gear towards higher levels and having all these specific officers or ships. Do you have any recommendations for what to do to excel in pvp for people that don't? Like I'm lvl 28 and basically have Nero, kirk and pike crew and the other standard crews, not too many specific pvp oriented officers. Kind of deters me from pvping but id like to take out a ship thats twice my strength.
We had 2 whales with 30 day shields in that didn't get achieved before incursions, had been offline for 2 weeks before the event. Those 2 bases ended up feeding about 12 trillion in rss to the other server.
Was that server 45 Vs 49? I have a buddy on 45 who was giving me a play-by-play and said they raided 12 trillion!
Will you remind people that Officer Levels mean a whole lot? Marcus' shield pierce at 100% does not behave the same as 800-1600%

Anything like this for the lower level and not every crew member in existence ? I have barely 40% of the available crew opened and all are basically blue or gray and struggling at level 26.
What happens when u dont have honorgaurd worf or lorca is there any thing else that lower players can use that mite have for pvp
I have brunt this up in your dis before. must have gotten over looked. But is there a way to do a PVE version of this with all types of ships. ex:BS Inter, Exp, Survey, Aramada. trying to focus on people with not people mid 20's without all those rare officers?
Ships don't matter there are only a hadful of pve crews in the game
I kind of wish players had some form of threat assessment, continuing to send ships to no win scenarios because they make no modifications ever makes PvP rather boring. I lost count of how many ships during the last incursion I ran over time and time again because they kept the same crew that didn't really help against my ship. Now were they good crews, most of them yes but not for the situation at hand and if we can't learn from our mistakes we clearly keep making them.

And I hope they wait at least a month for next incursion, we lost ours off one base raid, there was nothing to hit anymore, especially in newer servers the "economy" can't support it, and people over level 26 are pretty much ready to quit or sit out of most events now

When 60 played 85, most of our top 100 are 40+ therefore out PVP SMSs were in zones that the entirety of 85 had not even ascended to. Smh. 4 sms events that couldn't be completed and pretty essential if you want a shot at Una.
Same here, our 2nd run was against a young server with low population and locked at ops39. The pairing was a total mess for us...
Which server was this? Sounds like 75's story.
We're on 79, but yeah seems to be this way all over, even our top players had a hard time finishing the SMS, they need to just make it in lower systems for pvp and maybe level lock the pvp or something, idk how they'd work that out, but yeah what ended up happening was people were just spamming dead bases for points and pretty much one or two good raids it was over, granted I like the event and have had fun but def needs to be less frequent, not like those ops 40+ can dump RSS back into the community so it just goes away, then lower level events don't pay enough out to have everyone rolling in rss. If anyone can help rev can;)
3:45 yeah just swap tos kirk with tos uhura as cap. thats what i mostly run on my ente couse many too many just use critical builds nowadays

Why yuki Not work against a enterprise? Always the e has full power on the shield…
Enterprise's ability is shield regeneration
Specifically it's shield regeneration on hit (once per weapon). On a max enterprise that's 25% shield added back on after every weapon fired, vs max Yuki removing 20% once per round. If you're fighting against 3 weapons firing that's 75% SHP added back in a round, and even when you do deplete it next weapon will fire on shields again (assuming morale is up).
This is also why the D4 has the "advantage", because it's only 1 weapon per round and so less effective shield regen.
I've taken out stronger interceptors in my mayflower with a good crew and exos, left the guy like "?????" 🤨😟

Problem is your can’t see what tier players officers are. That is how players win with higher tier officers
"Slightly different" when Incursions needs to be almost completely rehauled is not good enough. Incursions gets an F grade, four thumbs down and Scopely has been referred to the remedial class

I go Augur, but if you have the right crews the differences are negligible .
Rev I like you man but you're forgetting about research and especially the officer lvl eg => D4 winning against Enterprise = No way with the similar circumstances it would win! For sure the officer lvls are not the same - D4 Marcus would be at least 25 lvl perhaps the Ent Marcus is only a 10 or 15 lvl
I disagree, the Marcus on the ent could be maxed and the one on the d4 just t4... As rev said, the ent was suited to fight another ent. The d4 is a great PvP ship also against the triangle
You're also forgetting about why a D4 beats an enterprise if you know what you're doing. The firing pattern on the D4 prevents the enterprise from regenerating its shield. See how the ent shield is depleted. You can't do that with any other g3 ship but the D4.
Sorry but you are wrong, my D4 basically kills every ent crewed to fight other ents even if it's bigger. Ent Marcus level doesn't matter at all since Marcus only helps with lowering mitigation of explorers.
And as Fluffy mentioned, D4 is the only G3 ship that can essentially strip ent of its shield. It's because D4 only has 2 guns that each fire twice each turn - meaning the ent will at most regenerate shield once per turn. And with prime crit dmg and hull breach, I can do 4m dmg per turn, so by around turn 5 the D4 will be able to deplete ent shield in the 1st hit, and potentially kill it with the 2nd hit if it's a crit.

tos spock maxed is best TOS officer
I REALLY like TOS Uhura (cause I fight a lot of ENTS), but TOS Spock is super useful. My only gripe is he's really not great until T4/T5

These videos aren’t the best for lower levels because no one at level 20-30 (almost no one) has Marcus, honourguard warf, kang, etc. we need crews that have officers that are easier to grt

I'm level 31 and I've got HG Worf, Khan and the 3 trinity officer. Although they're all at rank 1. It's doable, pick which leaderboards you want to score for and save up your mats to spend them in events to win new officers. Make sure you're always buying faction recruit tokens so you can start maxing those officers and using transporter patterns to buy extra epic officer shards.
