who ulter house, if it was done by a regular person, then it's not a WRIGHT original and shame on you..but if it was altered by the great FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT then it is still a original masterpiece of FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT... so I got to ask who changed it who got rid of the original carport who added on another carport I like original things unless it was altered by the Creator the desiigner
Thank you for your question. I will do my best to answser it, but please know we do not represent ourselves to be Frank Lloyd Wright experts. The best answers can be obtained by contacting the organization that operates the Laurent House. Not everything that was covered in the tour was included in the video - so I went back to the original footage. From that and from other information on the web it is understood that Frank Lloyd Wright submitted the original plans for the addition to the Laurents. He died before the final plans were approved. The person who finalized the addition plans was Jack Howl - who Wright refered to as "the pencel in my hand" He was Wrights chief draftsman and an original apprentice of Wright. @@Lovenesters i thank you very much for your response on the Rockford house.. and yes FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT would often mention about the pencil in his hand towards one of his pupils. i have been hoping that i could win a major lottery to put back the coonley estate in riverside Illinois as one house again and entrusted for everyone to visit for the next 10000years....thanks again for your wonderful response.
