Hey. I'm random person from Iraq. Commenting on a cool song of a young American. We never chose to be in this world. We never chose to hate each other. They want us to believe these lies. I have hope. A hope for a better future with a better generation. I don't wanna give up yet. I understand how alot of my American friends feel a shamed of thier government actions. They wanna offort living in a country that is supposed to be the best. Yet it is hard for young people to offort living by their own. Every money is going for evil and support wars. One day. Maybe. Just for once. There will be a real justice. A real hope. I'm quite negative person. But damn this song gives me a positive energy. A hope for seeing another young guy tired of this old people's bullshit
As a millennial who has worked hard, went to grad school and can barely afford rent and basic costs I relate to this song. Something in America has to change. Young people cannot afford this America.
America encourages you to do less. Stay at home and be a bum…live off government housing , food stamps, gvt subsidized housing. Succeed and make money and you’re gonna pay for everyone else’s problems and have nothing to show for it.
@@GormanGolf "Stay at home and be a bum…live off government housing, food stamps, gvt subsidized housing." What are you on about? Rich people are the biggest welfare queens. It's more costly to take care of the rich than it does with the poor. States that implement programs to take care of the poor and middle class has shown that, when it's done honestly and correctly. You're either watching too much FOX news, other right-wing media, or you're lying. "Succeed and make money and you’re gonna pay for everyone else’s problems and have nothing to show for it." Another rhetoric that is not completely true. When your someone who can barely rub two pennies together, your expected to lift up the system that everyone is supposed to contribute too, then you're supposed to get something out of it by via social programs but instead you get nothing because those programs aren't actually meant for you but instead for the rich. But when your rich, you don't have to pay for shit (or barely pay) because of the fact you can abuse the loopholes and systems in place for you to do so, due to lobbying of mega corporations in government. If you're looking to be mad at someone, look at the CEO's who say, "No one wants to work anymore." Even though they barely work as hard as the normal worker does, but yet we have to believe they work harder than anyone else.
As someone (26F) who was raised in a patriotic family, I find myself nowadays feeling like I'm wearing a mask when I'm around my family. I wish i could love America the way they do, the way i used to, but i cant anymore. I was born in the era/generation where so much was promised to us but was never delivered... Beautiful song, my friend. Thank you ❤
@@Marc.1776. So if you're trying to come at me with some entitlement crap, save it.
Love how this song talks about the stress and problems along with America. The problems and flawed sayings we grew up with. And yet people who don’t like this song say it’s “propaganda” or “unpatriotic.”Those who don’t criticize their own country aren’t patriots typically.
I'm not even an American, and I absolutely love it. I'm an Iraqi living in Iraq. Somehow the song is too related to the situation here. Well done Mister.
"What about dying for something worth trying?" Man, this one hits so deep even as a non-American. The lyrics are so transferable to the youth of basically every Western country, wondering where we went wrong, got so fragmented and stopped trying to make things better. Gen Zers who were raised to believe we could achieve anything together but grew up seeing it all fall apart. Mad respect from Australia, Hope you get the success you deserve!
As an iraqi, i was just a kid, it is still so difficult not to hate after having lost too much because of americans, but i know many were against the war, peace is the way. I just hope i can cope with it.
I'm an American, and I'm so deeply ashamed and apologetic for our governments crimes. My heart is filled with grief for the losses from what our government has supported ❤️🩹
