The only thing that bothers me is that you were worried about community, and how you will be received. I mean, it's your hair, your decision and the only thing that should matter is if you're happy with it or not. I know you started this channel because of dreadlocks, but really, I would watch you no matter what videos you would make because you're an awesome person! It will be definetely a new chapter in your life and enjoy it, no matter what you decide to do with your hair next. I would like to hear about your struggles, how you feel now, how is your hair etc so I'm waiting for more videos :)

I just want to say I commend you for being open and honest about your journey-- all it all, that's what it is.
I started my journey 4 years ago and you were def. one of the main people I followed. You are NOT alone in feeling disconnected -- I started mine in a very iffy time in my life and now I'm feeling like I want more control, but their are just getting in that stage where they look and feel wonderful.
I know the time will come when I mean the decision to let go of them but not there yet.
Anyways, appreciate your update, support your journey & will continue to follow you! Even if your videos have nothing to do with hair!

Please do the ramble video. I brushed mine out in December & started the new year dread less, it took awhile before I could really sit down & understand the why of it myself, but what you explained in your video doesn't sound too far off from my personal conclusions about mine ...I was feeling trapped rather than feeling free with them. I know I'll have them again one day, but I have some personal growth to do before I return to my journey. Good luck! More videos, please! Thanks for all your advice so far & here's to seeing what the future holds!

Also, I think it's important for people considering dreadlocks to see that they can be combed out, for them to get an idea what to expect of that brushed out hair (as much as can be expected), & to know how tough/easy/emotional that combing out process is. It was something I researched before combing mine out & it's good knowledge to have.

So sad! Your dreads were amazing. I just started my dreadlock journey a month ago but I still wish you well!

    You do you!
    Change happens.
Oddly enough out of the seemingly hundreds of videos of yours that I’ve watched, I noticed more of a Northern accent in this one.
Anyway, keep on truckin’ man. I’m positive most of the community will stick around - great honest video. :)

This makes me somewhat sentimental but also happy that you've arrived at the last stop of your dread journey. I literally decided to grow my dreads 3 years ago because of you and your videos so I'm glad that i came across your channel. Stay free my man.
P.S. whats your plan with your yt channel now?

*gasp* I never saw this coming. I was just looking for any new videos from you last night. You look great! Whatever you need to do to make your time on this earth what you need to be. And if you decide to do it again, I would love to see your journey from the beginning. If not, I'll watch you anyway. No disappointment here, just a bit of shock lol.

2019-- the Year of Removing Dreads! I've been combing out my 5 yr old dreads for about a month now, one or two at a time when I actually find the time. I figured the patience it took to get through the messy bedhead stage (two years free form for me) to having nice dreads taught me how to have the patience to comb them out. It's kind of become a nice send-off and end to the experience. Eight left as I type this and every once in a while I hear the Braveheart call of "FREEEEEEDOM!" in my head when I notice how easy loose hair is to manage.

Hi I remember watching your videos about 6 years ago and came across this video, you definitely didn't need to worry I'm sure people would still support you with or without the dreadlocks lol :)

Hello sir. I loved this video and remember stumbling upon one of your videos yearzzzz ago. I've had my dreads for about 9 years now. I've been dreaming about different hair now and I'm hitting a changing point that I've been trying to accept. I've already chopped more than a foot off and took out a couple. It will be a process but I think I'm ready. I feel what you mean when you don't feel connected to your dreads anymore. I love dreadlocks so very much but I hit this wall out of the blue a bit ago about the change. Even cutting them let off a lot of energy. My head already feels better too from the pulling.
Your personality is refreshing and I wish you the very best you kind stranger :)

In all honesty, I feel proud of you for making the decision to take them out. You started dreads for you and ended them for you, and at this point you have fully experienced EVERY aspect from beginning to end. Time to turn the page to a new life chapter brother! Congratulations :)
Oh, and keep making content please, your channel is so fun and playful, regardless of the subject mater, and it’s one of the best on YT
