Ren did say in an interview this was basically a fun hype song, but when they started visualizing it for the music video, they tied it to Animal Farm and social commentary - with lots of visual references to Kubrick films.
I think the bus was moving if you watch out the window and at the end you hear the driver say end of the line all change, also Ren says that was a good one we'll keep it. If you watch the music video version you will see the huge influence of George Orwell's (one of Ren's favourite authors) "Animal Farm" plus a touch of "A Clockwork Orange"
This illustrates to me why Ren is an ‘A’ level performer. He is so unselfconscious! (If that’s a word.) I love this. He goes all out, and is not afraid to seem foolish. Yet, this is so basic, so primal. You’ve got it - so confident! Could you do this? I know I couldn’t.
Yeah as others have said Ren wrote this with the book from Orwell "Animal Farm" and Ren has a different video and song of it. So this is the acoustic version of his own song. I'd suggest watching the original as well
I think that most Renegades would probably recommend that you watch the official music video first, and the acoustic version second - so that you can appreciate the contrast. But I gotta say that I probably prefer the official one for the visuals and the acoustic one for the music (and the cameraman falling over ...)
