    im using loctite copper silicone for a moped engine many of you may be cringing at the idea but it withstands temperatures up to 350 degrees celcius and the ped can get up to 125 degrees celcius then the over heat light will come on aha

      kierankay100 Im doing the same thing, the factory gaskets on the valve covers are brittle and leaking. I just used copper hi temp with a 2mm bead on it.

    hi friends!! i can use this loctite or loctite grey 5699 on cylinder head from xr250r? ty so much.

      Hi, thanks for your question! We recommend checking first with the Honda Tech Bulletin to see what the engine manufacturer recommends for that repair. We typically use a Loctite® Copper Gasket Adhesive with a metal gasket for head gaskets. There are some serious temperatures present for this repair.

    Do not use any RTV on engine parts that seal or contain oil &/or water passages. Always use gaskets & follow the FSM. Any RTV has the possibility of coming off in little bits & blocking oil & water galleys when the parts are mated together & the RTV is squeezed out.
