- Autumn is one of my favorite season. Blue sky, nice weather and beautiful fall foliage. Ginkgo trees are unique and very nice when all the leaves turn yellow.
This painting is a demonstration of how to paint ginkgo leaves with birds using Chinese watercolor. Splashing technique is introduced towards the end.
Materials used:
Rice paper (half ripe) 夾宣
Ink 月宮殿
Yellow color 藤黃
Blue color 花青

Oh, gosh.Beautiful!...☺As a watercolor painter I have to say: Looks so simple,but!...it's very difficult to paint chinese technique,feel like Chinese.No need sharp edges and razor details,all is in symbols,imagination and then admirer's fantasy works... there is still lot to learn☺.thank you.
