I used to wonder why the blessing of oil on the gasket. The purpose is so that when you are tightening the filter it's last 1/2 - 3/4 turn after the gasket has made contact, the rubber gasket will slide and compress (to make a tighter seal) not grip (like bicycle brakes) and shred. Plus, it keeps it supple so it won't get brittle and it helps with removal like the guy said.
Product numbers would be a nice thing to list in the transcript section. Oil filter number, oil specification, quick oil drain hose product number, etc.
